To improve the fertility of cervical artificial insemination (AI) in sheep, we investigated isoxsuprine HCl usage on the cervical passage during cervical AI. We also compared cervical and laparoscopic AI fertility results of using chilled semen at different durations. Semen was collected from rams and diluted as 20 × 10 or 400 × 10 spermatozoa/straw for laparoscopic and cervical AI, respectively, and chilled to 4°C within 2 h.

Predictors and Clinical Outcomes of Crossover From Radial to Femoral Access During Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.

Access site complications are more common with femoral access (FA) than radial access (RA). However, due to the higher rate of failure and crossover, door-to-balloon time (DBT) is prolonged by RA. Cytogenetic alterations in human lymphocyte cultures following exposure to ofloxacin.

Ofloxacin (OFX), a second-generation of quinolones, is a broad-spectrum flouroquinolone antibiotic used in the treatment of various bacterial infections. In this article, we aimed to investigate the cytotoxic and genotoxic potentials of OFX in cultured human peripheral lymphocytes. The cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of OFX on human peripheral blood lymphocytes were examined in vitro by sister chromatid exchange (SCE), chromosomal aberrations (CAs) and micronucleus (MN) tests.

Cryoballoon ablation for pulmonary vein isolation in patients with atrial fibrillation: preliminary results using novel short-tip cryoballoon.

Purpose: In this study, we aimed to report our preliminary experience regarding the impact of the novel short-tip (ST) cryoballoon (CB) on procedural efficacy and signal quality during pulmonary vein (PV) isolation for both paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation.

Methods: Between March, 2015, and August, 2015, we enrolled a total of 64 patients (47 patients male, 73 %) with a mean age of 60 ± 11 years. In the study population, 31 patients (48 %) underwent PVI using Advance (ADV) CB and 33 (52 %) patients with ST CB.
