Microfluidics plays a crucial role in the generation of mono-sized microdroplet emulsions. Traditional glass microfluidic chips typically lack versatility in generating curable droplets of arbitrary liquids due to the inherent hydrophilic nature of glass and to fabrication constraints. To overcome this, we designed a microdroplet generator with 3D flow-focusing capabilities that can be 3D-printed.

Within the emerging field of proton-conducting fuel cells, BaZrYO (BZY10) is an attractive material due to its high conductivity and stability. The fundamentals of conduction in sintered pellets and thin films heterostructures have been explored in several studies; however, the role of crystallographic orientation, grains, and grain boundaries is poorly understood for proton conduction. Traumatic Carotid Cavernous Fistula Resulting in Symptoms in the Ipsilateral Eye: A Case Report.

Post-traumatic unilateral carotid cavernous fistula (CCF) with ipsilateral symptoms is a rare occurrence, so its diagnosis frequently gets overlooked for other more common conditions. Timely imaging with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and appropriate vascular intervention is essential in preventing potentially serious sequelae in such cases. We describe a case of post-traumatic CCF in a 42-year-old man who experienced intermittent headaches and right eye redness, proptosis, and watery discharge for three months following the incident.

We conceptualize that safety culture (SC) has a positive impact on employee's safety performance by reducing their psychosocial hazards. A higher level of safety culture environment reduces psychosocial hazards by improving employee's performance toward safety concerns. The purpose of this study was to evaluate how psychosocial hazard mediates the relationship between safety culture and safety performance.

Incorporation of ascorbic acid in chitosan-based edible coating improves postharvest quality and storability of strawberry fruits.

Recent postharvest studies have shown that adding an antioxidative agent in a polysaccharide-based edible coating reduces postharvest losses and extends the shelf life of a coated fruit. Therefore, the effect of addition of ascorbic acid (AA, 1%) in chitosan-based coating (CH, 1%) on strawberry fruits under cold storage conditions at 4 ± 1 °C and 85 ± 5% RH was investigated for 15 days. It was observed that addition of AA in CH coating reduced weight loss, decay percentage, malondialdehyde content and hydrogen peroxide compared to CH alone.
