Microfluidics plays a crucial role in the generation of mono-sized microdroplet emulsions. Traditional glass microfluidic chips typically lack versatility in generating curable droplets of arbitrary liquids due to the inherent hydrophilic nature of glass and to fabrication constraints. To overcome this, we designed a microdroplet generator with 3D flow-focusing capabilities that can be 3D-printed.

Informed consent plays a crucial role in modern clinical practice, representing a fundamental aspect of patient rights and medical ethics. The purpose of informed consent is to ensure that patients fully comprehend the procedures to which they are providing consent and the recognition that the surgeon is not guilty of battery. Moreover, clinicians safeguard themselves against potential repercussions by documenting the risks adequately conveyed to patients before performing surgery.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinicoradiological syndrome that is being increasingly recognized due to the advancements in brain imaging, specifically MRI. This syndrome is characterized by symptoms including, but not limited to, headache, seizures, altered mental status, and vision loss. There are various underlying etiologies which lead to PRES occurrence; the etiology of focus in this report is preeclampsia and eclampsia.

Although sewage water (SW) is a source of nutrients, it also causes heavy metal accumulation in soil; especially, lead (Pb) contamination of soil is a serious concern in agriculture. Soil contaminants limit the bioavailability of nutrients to plants. So, they affect plant growth and produce quality.

Introduction: Buildings and infrastructure are the primary focus of the construction industry, which also includes related activities such as design, planning, demolition, renovation, maintenance, and repair. Safety performance is crucial to the industry's ability to work effectively in spite of hazardous conditions on the job site during any given project. Improving construction workers' safety performance in Malaysia requires an in-depth examination of the interplay between workers' psychological capital, work pressure, employee engagement, and safety participation.

The FSO communication system offers high data rate investigated over the last few decades because of extraordinary advantages like unlicensed frequency and bandwidth at low power consumption, simple design, hasty, and minimal installation cost, including no right of way. It is essential to investigate solutions against degrading factors like absorption and scattering caused by fog, dust, rain, smog, and uncertain temperature variation of environmental channels. In this work various modulation techniques (AM, CS-NRZ, CS-RZ, DB-NRZ, MDB-NRZ, MDB-RZ, RZ, NRZ) are simulated and used to mitigate the weather attenuation of the specific airfield of Lahore, Pakistan under fog conditions, to provide a reliable FSO communication link for high data rate up to 40 Gbps over a link distance from 1.

Within the emerging field of proton-conducting fuel cells, BaZrYO (BZY10) is an attractive material due to its high conductivity and stability. The fundamentals of conduction in sintered pellets and thin films heterostructures have been explored in several studies; however, the role of crystallographic orientation, grains, and grain boundaries is poorly understood for proton conduction. This article reports proton conduction in a self-assembled multi-oriented BZY10 thin film grown on top of a (110) NdGaO substrate.

Post-traumatic unilateral carotid cavernous fistula (CCF) with ipsilateral symptoms is a rare occurrence, so its diagnosis frequently gets overlooked for other more common conditions. Timely imaging with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and appropriate vascular intervention is essential in preventing potentially serious sequelae in such cases. We describe a case of post-traumatic CCF in a 42-year-old man who experienced intermittent headaches and right eye redness, proptosis, and watery discharge for three months following the incident.

Aim: The current study attempted to assess the effect of positive emotion on post-graduate students' psychological capital (PsyCap) as well as on their academic engagement behavior. Also, the direct relationship between PsyCap and academic engagement behavior was assessed alongside the presence of Stress as a moderating variable between PsyCap and academic engagement behavior amongst post-graduate students in Malaysia.

Materials And Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection from 373 post-graduate Ph.

Importance: Accelerated diagnostic protocols (ADPs) for chest pain using high-sensitivity troponin (hsTn) levels have excellent sensitivity and negative predictive value for rapid risk stratification of patients with chest pain. However, little is known about the outcomes of patients who are discharged despite abnormal ADP results, ie, after "ruling-in" with a modest elevation of hsTn.

Objective: To determine outcomes of patients discharged following ADP, including those who were ruled in with modestly elevated levels of hsTnT but discharged nonetheless.

Unlabelled: The effect of a (AV) gel coating was studied on antioxidant enzymes activities, oxidative stress, softening and associated quality attributes of persimmon fruits. The fruits were coated with 0 and 50% AV-gel coating and stored for 20 days at 20 ± 1 ºC. AV-gel coated fruits exhibited considerably less weight loss, hydrogen peroxide level, electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde content.

Workplace hazards can have a significant influence on a worker's physical and mental health, reducing an organization's effectiveness in terms of safety. However, psychosocial hazards are being recognized as a crucial component that must be addressed for the individual's and organization's safety. The purpose of this research was to propose and statistically evaluate a brief theoretical framework based on leadership, organizational communication, work environment, and psychosocial hazards in Malaysia's upstream oil and gas sector.

The main purpose of this research was to investigate the mediating role of safety communication (SCO) in the relationship between safety culture (SC) and safety performance (SP) amongst employees in the petrochemical industry. Safety communication methods not only enhance working conditions but also have a positive impact on employee's behaviors and attitudes toward safety leading toward reduced incidents in the workplace environment. A stratified sampling method was followed to collect data in the petrochemical industry in Malaysia.

Recent postharvest studies have shown that adding an antioxidative agent in a polysaccharide-based edible coating reduces postharvest losses and extends the shelf life of a coated fruit. Therefore, the effect of addition of ascorbic acid (AA, 1%) in chitosan-based coating (CH, 1%) on strawberry fruits under cold storage conditions at 4 ± 1 °C and 85 ± 5% RH was investigated for 15 days. It was observed that addition of AA in CH coating reduced weight loss, decay percentage, malondialdehyde content and hydrogen peroxide compared to CH alone.
