The study attempts to analyze the impact of hybrid energy systems on environmental sustainability in the context of the circular economy network. The hybrid energy sources follow the principle of circular economy, which aims to reduce raw material use and waste which is very fruitful in promoting environmental sustainability. However, the study uses quarterly data from Pakistan from 2011Q1 to 2020Q4 to accomplish the proposed study objective.

There is a growing demand for energy to support economic and social development. There will be many shifts in the energy sector as a result of digitization. Hence, we aim analyzing the linkage between digitalization and environment sustainability by incorporating energy consumption as a moderating factor using data of UK from 1990 to 2020.

Impact of economic and green growth on poverty, income inequalities, and environmental degradation: a case of South Asian economies.

This study aims to investigate the impacts of traditional and green economic growth on poverty, income inequalities, and environmental degradation in the case of South Asian economies. In this regard, the study collects data for the period 2000 to 2018 from five South Asian economies (Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh) from world development indicators (WDI). The study applies second-generation unit root test and co-integration technique, CIPS unit root and Westerlund co-integration tests, to establish the stationarity of the series and co-integration relationship among variables.

Validating LA/AIDS model in the food market of Pakistan.

The study aims to conduct a consumer demand analysis of the food market of Pakistan by estimating its own price and cross-price elasticities. This study also examines expenditure and income elasticities to show the influence of relative change in price, total expenditure, and income on the relative change in demanded quantities of the selected food products. The study takes meat, vegetables, fruits, and pulses as different food baskets and estimates income elasticities, including uncompensated (Marshallian) and compensated (Hicksian) own price and cross-price elasticities.

How creative destruction functions in corporate entrepreneurial process: an empirical investigation of Schumpeterian concept in engineering firm settings in Pakistan.

Schumpeter's idea of creative destruction (CD) explains innovation functions in organisations. This paper investigates the CD concept in engineering firms by explaining how technical opportunity (TO) transforms into corporate entrepreneurship (CE) actions once opportunities have a market orientation (MO). A urvey was conducted using a structured questionnaire with 132 managers of engineering firms in Pakistan.

Impact of economic freedom on air pollution: configuration analysis of Asia-Pacific region.

Air pollution brings uncountable serious influences on human life during the last decade. This study is an attempt to compare economic liberalism with economic federalism in examining the problem of air pollution in the Asia-Pacific region. Economic analysts have different views with one school of thought arguing that air pollution is the cause of the failure of a free economy rather than the failure of government regulations, while another supports liberal economics and vice versa.

An Investigation into the Accumulation of Air Borne Trace Metals in the Lungs of Common Myna Acridotheres tristis and Bank Myna Acridotheres ginginianus Captured from Urban and Semi Urban Areas of Lahore and Pattoki, Pakistan.

With increasing urbanization and industrialization, clean air is becoming a scarce resource. During the present investigation, concentrations of metals (Pb, Ni and Zn) in the atmosphere and their subsequent deposition in the lungs of two common avian species, common myna, Acridotheres tristis (n = 30) and bank myna, A. ginginianus (n = 20), captured from urban areas of Lahore city and semi-urban areas of Pattoki city 80 km away from main city of Lahore were determined.
