Comparative catalytic reduction and degradation with biodegradable sodium alginate based nanocomposite: Zinc oxide/N-doped carbon nitride/sodium alginate.

Sodium alginate (SA) is a biodegradable macromolecule which is used to synthesize nanocomposites and their further use as catalysis. Zinc oxide (ZnO) and nitrogen doped carbon nitride (ND-CN) nanoparticles are prepared using solvothermal and hydrothermal methods, respectively. ZnO/ND-CN/SA nanocomposites are successfully synthesized by employing in-situ polymerization.
