A 69-year-old female with a family history significant for early onset dementia and a past medical history significant for coronary artery disease, primary hypertension, type two diabetes mellitus, and Crohn's disease presents to our facility with rapidly progressive cognitive decline, delusions, hallucinations, and ambulatory dysfunction over the past two months. Neurological examination was remarkable for bilateral horizontal nystagmus, tongue fasciculations, bilateral upper extremity incoordination, and bilateral lower extremity spasticity, atrophy, and weakness. Laboratory and microbiological testing were remarkable for low serum thiamine levels.

Penile fracture is an uncommon acute surgical emergency, typically occurring after sexual intercourse, self-manipulation and at times, may be accidental. We report here a 39-year male who attended the department of emergency with swelling and bruising of the scrotum and penis. Physical examination exhibited a diffuse abdominal and perineal ecchymosis.

A 48-year-old male presented three days after cocaine use with acute, rapid onset of bilateral lower extremity weakness, bilateral foot numbness, acute urinary retention, and significantly elevated creatinine kinase. Further testing revealed unusual symmetrical edema with contrast enhancement on MRI of the lower extremities. The patient was diagnosed with severe non-traumatic, non-exertional rhabdomyolysis causing lumbosacral plexopathy following cocaine use.

Brugada syndrome (BrS) is an inherited arrhythmia syndrome in which asymptomatic patients tend to develop fatal arrhythmias leading to sudden cardiac death (SCD) in asymptomatic or undiagnosed cases. This review tries to shed light on pyrexia being one of the triggers to cause SCD secondary to fatal arrhythmias in patients of BrS. Pyrexia, electrolyte imbalance, alcohol intake, and drugs are common triggering factors for fatal arrhythmias in patients with BrS.

Background: The Triple D score is a novel and easy to use nomogram to predict shock-wave lithotripsy (SWL) outcomes. It is based on Computed Tomography (CT scan) parameters including stone density, skin-to-stone distance, and stone volume.
