- A systematic review of studies from 1977 to September 2022 was conducted, analyzing data from 66 of 3,910 identified studies, which included over 13 million total knee replacement patients.
- Pulmonary embolism occurred in 0.58% of these cases, with higher risks observed in older patients and those with certain health conditions, while the mortality rate for pulmonary embolism was alarmingly high, ranging from 10.53% to 100%.
Introduction: Arthrodesis is an expensive procedure that is less applicable in developing countries. In this case report we reported a case of diabetic charcot neuroartropathy (CN) with primary ankle arthrodesis technique with a fibular strut graft which is considered cheaper and has a higher union rate.
Case Description: A 47 years old female with complaints of pain in her right ankle after falling down the stairs with foot inverted one month before admission.
