Background: Several studies focus on the use of emerging technologies to support and monitor health but are centred around the elderly group of people. Meanwhile, the average elderly popularly known as the middle-aged have not been put into consideration regarding the subject matter.

Objective: This article focuses on the use behaviour and acceptance of emerging technologies that can assist in providing a middle-aged population with a healthy lifestyle.
