Adenocarcinoma of ileum: a case report.

Small bowel cancers are a rare group of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. Adenocarcinoma of ileum is an even rarer pathology to come across. We had a case of small bowel adenocarcinoma (SBA) who presented with recurrent abdominal pain and vomiting to different local hospitals.

Chronic non puerperal uterine inversion secondary to sub-mucosal fibroid.

Inversion of uterus is a rare clinical condition, if not associated with puerperium or third stage of labour. Non-puerperal uterine inversion usually results secondary to tumour implanted at fundus of the uterus. An unusual case of non-puerperal uterine inversion caused by a large submucosal fundal fibroid is reported where a 39-year-old woman presented with heavy bleeding per vaginum and profuse vaginal discharge.

Outcome of stapled haemorrhoidectomy versus Milligan Morgan's haemorrhoidectomy.

Objective: To compare the postoperative outcome of stapled haemorrhoidectomy and conventional Milligan Morgan's open haemorrhoidectomy.

Study Design: Comparative study.

Place And Duration Of Study: Surgical Unit 1, Ward-3, Department of Surgery, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi, from March to September 2006.
