Sexual dysfunction: Prevalence and relationship with depression and other socio-demographic factors among the type 2 diabetic women of Pakistan.

Objective: To find the association between sexual dysfunction and depressive symptoms among type 2 diabetic women.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the Military Hospital, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, from November 2017 to October 2018, and comprised diabetic women reporting for routine follow-up. Female sexual function index was used to assess the sexual function of the subjects.

Transcranial approach to craniopharyngiomas; review of management and outcomes.

Craniopharyngiomas are rare tumours of the central nervous system. Their successful treatment is marred by a high rate of recurrence and postoperative complications. Their occurrence is sufficiently rare to merit treatment at specialized high volume centers.

Anaphylaxis during anesthesia - role of skin prick testing in diagnosing multiple sensitivities.

The true incidence of anaphylactic reactions and their associated morbidity and mortality remain poorly defined. This is due to uncertainties in reporting accuracy and exhaustivity. A 23 years old male developed severe anaphylaxis under general anesthesia with cardiovascular collapse, bronchospasm and angio-edema.

Pulmonary edema and lung injury after severe laryngospasm.

A young male with no pre-operative medical illness underwent corrective surgery for a deviated nasal septum under general anesthesia. At the end of surgery, patient was extubated but went into severe laryngospasm that did not improve with gentle Intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation (IPPV) and small dose of Suxamethonium. As the situation worsened and patient developed severe bradycardia and de-saturation, re-intubation was done that revealed pink froth in the endotracheal tube.
