Objective: To determine the incidence of contrast nephropathy in high-risk patients undergoing coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and to define the characteristics of this cohort.
Design: Discriptive study.
Place And Duration Of Study: The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi from January to December 2002.
Sarcoidosis is a multisystem granulomatous disorder of unknown etiology. Although any organ can be involved in sarcoidosis, significant renal involvement is rare, mostly due to nephrocalcinosis. Renal impairment in the absence of nephrocalcinosis is uncommon and is usually due to glomerulonephritis or granulomatous pathology in the interstitium.
