Recently, driven by a growing focus on environmental sustainability and cost-effectiveness, researchers have shown a keen interest in creating useful materials from bio-wastes, particularly for their potential applications in the biomedical field. Current research has been conducted on the impact of date seed powder (DSP) on hydroxyapatite (HA) formation, specifically in relation to the promotion of bone health and regeneration. HA is an essential component of bone tissue and plays a crucial role in maintaining bone strength and structure.

Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to statistically design the experiments and investigate the effect of three independent variables: treatment time, solid-to-liquid ratio, and reagent concentration. The leaching conditions were further optimized and experimentally validated for maximum ash reduction for suitability of treated biomass as feedstock for thermochemical conversion technologies.

Body weight and age at the time of photostimulation will thus always be the factors that need to be adequately addressed among various production systems. The current study was carried out to determine the effects of pullets' body weight (low, medium, and heavy) on their performance, welfare, physiological response, and hormonal profile.

To enhance the interfacial interaction with PLA, magnesium alloy was treated with microarc oxidation (MAO) at four different frequencies, resulting in an improvement in mechanical strength and toughness. The microarc oxidation films consisted mainly of a porous MgO ceramic layer on the Mg rod.

Equi-atomic NiTi alloy composites reinforced with 0, 2, 4 and 6vol.% nano-hydroxyapatite (HA) were successfully synthesized using pressureless sintering. Pure Ni and Ti elements were ball milled for 10h in order to produce a mechanically alloyed equi-atomic NiTi alloy (MA-NiTi).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA sonochemical method has been employed for the synthesis of palladium oxide (PdO) nanoparticles deposited on silica nanoparticle. By sonochemical process, the PdO nanoparticles were doped on the surface of silica at room temperature and atmospheric pressure with short reaction time. Silica nanoparticles were used as a supporting material to suppress aggregation and thereby to increase surface area of PdO nanoparticles.
