Ethylene glycol (EG) has been employed as a cryoprotectant for many years in mammalian semen cryopreservation but not assessed for birds except for its recently illustrated beneficial effects on commercial chicken lines. The Indian red jungle fowl is facing trouble in its native range due to human encroachment. Therefore, the present study was designed to elucidate the cryoprotective effect of different EG concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) on frozen Indian red jungle fowl semen.

Beta-thalassemia major (β-TM) is a genetic disorder, prevalent especially in the Mediterranean region, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. With improvements in management over the years, β-TM has transitioned from a fatal childhood disease to a chronic condition. However, in Pakistan, there is still a lack of a comprehensive national policy and strategic plan, which has resulted in a growing number of β-TM patients, placing a substantial burden on individuals and the national healthcare system.

This study introduces the use of Transfer Learning (TL) to train models on limited data for high accuracy in detecting surface deformations, marking the first attempt to apply a model trained on one defect type to another.

In this study, core-shell tablets comprising an ibuprofen (IBU) enteric-coated core for modified release and a rabeprazole (RAB) shell for immediate release were developed using wet granulation method. The primary aim was to produce a sequential release of RAB and IBU with pharmacokinetic profiles comparable to those of the respective single tablets, thereby reducing the potential for IBU-associated gastrointestinal (GI) side effects. Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping in Adults with Persistent-Post Concussion Symptoms after Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: An Exploratory Study.

Background And Purpose: It is estimated that 18-30% of concussion sufferers experience symptoms lasting more than 1 month, known as persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS). Symptoms can be debilitating, and include headache, dizziness, nausea, problems with memory and concentration, sleep and mood disruption, and exercise intolerance. Previous studies have used quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) to show altered tissue susceptibility levels in adults acutely following concussion, however this finding has yet to be investigated in participants with PPCS.

Steroids and myocardial infarction: Investigating safety and short-term mortality in critical post-myocardial infarction patients.
