The Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is at the center of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda. In this study, the authors made an evaluation of the patient health coverage indicators in eight Burundian hospitals from 2011 to 2016. The relevant UHC indicators were calculated on the basis of patient administrative and health insurance data, collected via OpenClinic GA, an information and communication technology (ICT) supported health management information system (HMIS).

In Mali, there were 4508 new cases of tuberculosis in 2003, and 5222 in 2006. Tuberculosis (TB) is thus an important public health problem, decreasing the physical, financial and social capital of individuals, their families and society. Because responses to TB have not yet applied a sufficiently integrated approach that can improve patients' access to quality care, this FORESA project advocates a patient-centered approach.

Background: The process of referral between the first and the second level of the health system in the Democratic Republic of Congo is poorly understood. This report intends to study the association between the referral and the hospital perinatal outcomes.

Methods: Delivery outcomes in a retrospective cohort of 1162 women admitted between June 95 and May 96, in two referral hospitals in Kivu were analyzed according to the referral status and the women's characteristics.
