Background: The aim of this study was to compare metabolic parameters, plasma Osteopontin (OPN) and Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) levels between Sleeve Gastrectomy (SG) patients in their 6 post-operation month and healthy control patients.
Methods: Height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI) and laboratory parameters of 58 SG patients aged 18‒65 years (Group 1) and 46 healthy control patients (Group 2) were compared. In addition, preoperative and postoperative sixth-month BMI and laboratory parameters of the patients in Group 1 were compared.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the frequency of fibromyalgia and its predictors in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and its relationship with insulin resistance, and to assess the effect of fibromyalgia on the anxiety and depressive symptoms in PCOS patients, and how the quality of life was affected by this combination.
Measurements: The study was conducted with 74 women with PCOS according to the Rotterdam criteria, which applied to our tertiary care clinic between January 2021 and January 2022, and 51 controls. Endocrinologic and rheumatologic examinations, biochemical and hormonal analyses, and radiologic imaging are made.
Introduction: Recently, dual trigger was proposed in an attempt to improve in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle outcomes in poor and normo-responder patients (PR and NR, respectively). The study's aim was to compare cycle outcomes of dual trigger versus human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) trigger in NRs and POSEIDON group 3/4 (PG 3/4) PRs.
Material And Methods: A prospective randomized controlled trial included PG 3/4 PRs and NRs undergoing IVF using a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol.
Background: COVID-19 has caused a pandemic and is associated with significant mortality. The pathophysiology of COVID-19, affecting many organs and systems, is still being investigated. The hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and possibly adrenal glands are the targets of SARS-CoV-2 because of its angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and transmembrane serine protease 2 (TMPRSS2) receptors expression.

The Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis (PUQE) scores, fasting and postprandial CCK levels, and ultrasonographic GB parameters were recorded at admission before any treatment. The median PUQE score in the study group was 8.

Conventional methods for sperm preparation have induced questioning of sperm recovery rates. The microfluidic sperm sorting (MSS) technique selects highly motile sperm with lower levels of SDF (sperm DNA fragmentation) compared to conventional sperm sorting techniques.

We conducted this study to assess the demographics, etiologic distribution, treatment patterns and complication frequency of patients with chronic hypoparathyroidism in Turkey. This is a retrospective, cross-sectional database study, with collaboration of 30 endocrinology centers located in 20 cities across seven geographical regions of Turkey.

Depending on the size, number, and location, the complete resection of Type 0, 1, and 2 leiomyomas by hysteroscopy can be completed in a single-step or multi-step procedure. The purpose of this study is to document the cases of hysteroscopic myomectomy performed via the resectoscopic technique in the gynecology department of a university hospital.

Subjects And Methods: Forty women newly diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy and 30 healthy pregnant women matched in age and gestational week were included in this cross-sectional study. Serum nesfatin-1 levels were analyzed using ELISA, and the relationship between nesfatin-1 and several metabolic parameters were assessed.
Objective: We aimed to evaluate the perinatal outcomes of women diagnosed with gestational hypertension and no proteinuria according to the gestational weeks.
Methods: We included women diagnosed with gestational hypertension between 2010 and 2014 at our institution and excluded the patients with preeclampsia and chronic hypertension. Women with gestational hypertension were grouped according to the gestational weeks.
The aim of this study was to evaluate coagulation disorders in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer treated with bevacizumab by using rotation thrombelastogram (ROTEM(®)) and correlate ROTEM(®) parameters with routine coagulation tests. A total of 18 colorectal cancer patients who received bevacizumab combined with chemotherapy were included. There was no statistically significant difference between results of platelet count, prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen, and D-Dimer obtained at baseline and on day 1 of chemotherapy cycles 4, 8, and 12.
