This two-phase study aims to develop the Turkish version of the German Eating Behavior Scale (SEV-Tr), and to investigate the potential associations of eating behaviors with nutritional and health status. In the first phase, the original scale was adapted to the Turkish language and its validity and reliability were assessed in 299 healthy individuals aged 19-64 years. In the second phase, the SEV-Tr was retested in a study population of 110 healthy individuals, aged 19-64 years, and the potential associations between the SEV-Tr score, anthropometrical and biochemical measurements, and other eating behaviors assessed by the Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ-Tr21) were examined.

Design: A methodological study.
Methods: The study was carried out in two main stages and five steps: (1) determining the information needs of ostomy patients, (2) creating educational content, (3) converting the educational content into patient education material, (4) validation of patient education material based on expert review and (5) measuring the readability of the patient education material.
Appropriately modified thermoresponsive hydrogels, such as poly(-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels, bring an opportunity for a variety of biomedical applications. Incorporating compounds with different properties into poly(-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels offers opportunities to enhance their mechanical, self-healing ability, adhesiveness, thermal responsiveness, and drug release capabilities. In this study, we investigated the influence of Au-sulfur interactions on the properties of the poly(-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels after introducing -bis(acryloyl)cystine (a newly synthesized cross-linker), modified gold nanoparticles, and a p(NIPAm-BISS) nanogel into the hydrogel matrix.

Methods: Between 2010 and 2020, a total of 161 patients underwent cervical cerclage. The participants were divided into three groups.
Introduction: Preterm identification of cervical dilation in pregnant women leads to the application of emergency cervical cerclage with an expectation of achieving term delivery. However, this is not always feasible. Short- and long-term neonatal complications post-preterm birth pose a significant challenge.

Methods: A parallel-group randomized controlled trial was conducted with patients who underwent surgery for a primary brain tumor between March 2019 and January 2020 in a tertiary hospital and with caregivers who cared for them at home. Eligible patients and caregivers were determined by block randomization.
Purpose: In patients with acromegaly, the long-term presence of elevated GH and IGF-1 levels is associated with an unfavorable cardiovascular risk profile. We aimed to assess the relationship of four-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiographic (4DSTE) measurements with growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) levels and the Framingham Cardiovascular Risk Score (FRS) in patients with acromegaly.
Methods: A single-center, cross-sectional study was conducted.
Objectives: This study aims to examine the treatment outcomes and related factors in locally advanced sinonasal cancer across Turkiye.
Methods: Twelve centers participants of the Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology Head and Neck Study Group attended the study. One hundred and ninety-four patients treated with intensity-modulated radiation therapy between 2001 and 2021 were analyzed retrospectively.
Extracting structured knowledge from scientific text remains a challenging task for machine learning models. Here, we present a simple approach to joint named entity recognition and relation extraction and demonstrate how pretrained large language models (GPT-3, Llama-2) can be fine-tuned to extract useful records of complex scientific knowledge. We test three representative tasks in materials chemistry: linking dopants and host materials, cataloging metal-organic frameworks, and general composition/phase/morphology/application information extraction.

The type of delivery and anaesthesia strategy utilised during labour can modify these adaptive modifications. In this regard, this study was designed to compare the effects of general and spinal anaesthesia on cerebral and renal oxygenation after elective caesarean deliveries.

Material And Methods: Thirty-two patients who received neoadjuvant CRT with LARC were included. The Arizona Sexual Experiences (ASEX) Scale was used to determine the sexual function status whereas the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were used to evaluate the depression and anxiety status of the patient, respectively.
Purpose: Hyperglycemia and glycemic variability (GV) are associated with oxidative stress in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Oxysterol species, produced by the non-enzymatic oxidation of cholesterol, are potential biomarkers of oxidative stress. This study examined the relationship between auto-oxidized oxysterols and GV in patients with type 1 DM.

Methodology This study determined the readability of patient consent forms used before interventional procedures in the gynecology and obstetrics clinic at the Suleyman Demirel University Hospital, Isparta. The consent forms were divided into two main groups according to their use in obstetrics and gynecology procedures.

Methods: A total of 43 healthy volunteers and 41 patients with ODD were included in the study. The ONSD and axial length were measured in the posterior position using an ultrasound device (E-Z Scan AB5500 +) probe with a 10 MHz frequency.
This study was conducted to compare the efficacy of the mouse hepatic and renal antioxidant systems against inflammation-induced oxidative stress. Increased Il-1 and Il-6 expressions, markers of inflammation, were represented by inflammation models in mouse liver and kidney tissues injected intraperitoneally with LPS. After establishing the model, the GSH level and the GSH/GSSG ratio, which are oxidative stress markers, were investigated in both tissues treated with LPS and the control group.

The scale, speed, and breadth of the scientific community's COVID-19 response lead to the emergence of new research at the remarkable rate of more than 250 papers published per day. This posed a challenge for the scientific community as traditional methods of engagement with the literature were strained by the volume of new research being produced.

Materials And Methods: Laboratory patient data between August and December 2021 were evaluated for the study. A total of 188,912 patients with TSH, fT4, fT3, anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies (Anti-TPO) and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies (Anti-Tg) results were evaluated.
Background And Aim: The risk of second primary tumors is increased in general cancer population, however, there is no data on acromegalic cancer patients in this regard. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of patients with two primary tumors among acromegalic cancer patients and to evaluate if patients with two primaries have distinct clinical characteristics or risk factors compared to those with one.
Methods: This is a single-center retrospective cohort study.
Recently, packaging industry has turned to biodegradable packaging, and poly(lactic acid) has become the most remarkable polymer. However, the high oxygen permeability of PLA films significantly limits their use. Therefore, this study, it was aimed to improve the oxygen barrier properties of PLA films without adversely affecting the mechanical and water vapor barrier properties.
