Management of melanoma has changed significantly with the discovery of targeted therapies and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Our aim in the study is to determine which treatment alternatives, specifically dabrafenib plus trametinib and ICIs, are effective in adjuvant therapy and which treatment is effective as first-line metastatic therapy. This retrospective, multicenter study included 120 patients diagnosed with stage IIIB-IIID melanoma receiving both adjuvant and first-line metastatic treatment between 2007 and 2023.

The present study assesses the two approaches to enteral nutrition-intermittent and continuous enteral feeding-in critically ill pediatric patients in Türkiye to determine the superiority of one method over the other.
Methods: Included in this multicenter prospective study were patients receiving enteral nutrition via a tube who were followed up over a 3-month period.
This study evaluated the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of pradofloxacin against various swine respiratory pathogens, including , , , , and (), associated with disease in swine. This research was conducted in two phases: the initial phase examined isolates from the lungs that could be either commensal or pathogenic, while the second phase focused on systemic strains that spread from the respiratory tract to the brain. The pradofloxacin MIC values of the second phase were within the MIC range of the initial phase, with MIC and MIC values highlighting its potential as an effective antimicrobial agent.

The risk of fractures can be assessed via dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and quantitative computed tomography (QCT). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of two imaging modalities in identifying bone mineral status in individuals with pre-dialysis chronic renal disease and to assess their correlation with bone turnover markers.

Methods: This is a single-centre hospital-based retrospective cohort study conducted with adult patients who were hospitalised for treatment of ECF or EAF. The patients were allocated to three study groups according to their primary aetiology (surgery-related group, gunshot-related group and other-cause group).
Medicinal and aromatic plants are alternative products to synthetics because of their antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic effects. The objective of this study is to investigate the automated solvent extraction (ASE) process parameters for the extraction of bioactive-rich substances from purple basil (Ocimum basilicum L.).

The medical records of patients who underwent CEA under general anesthesia between January 2020 and December 2022, were retrospectively reviewed. It was recorded whether the patients received carotid sinus block with 2 mL of 2% prilocaine.

The epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition is a nonbinary process in the metastatic cascade that generates tumor cells with both epithelial and mesenchymal traits known as hybrid EM cells. Recent studies have elucidated the enhanced metastatic potential of cancers featuring the hybrid EM phenotype, highlighting the need to uncover molecular drivers and targetable vulnerabilities of the hybrid EM state.

However, mesenchymal dysplasia can be distinguished from other conditions by the presence of villous edema and the absence of trophoblastic proliferation in the placental tissue. This pathology has been demonstrated to be associated with fetal growth restriction, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, some chromosomal abnormalities and intrauterine fetal demise.

Identification of biomarkers for accurate diagnosis and medications for effective treatment are lacking, in part due to the historical use of preclinical model systems that do not translate well to the clinic for neurological disorders, such as rodents and heterologous cell lines.

Purpose: This study investigated 1) the frequency of quotation errors in multi-authored medical manuscripts in andrology, 2) analyzed common types of quotation errors and the methods used to rectify them, and 3) evaluated their impact on manuscript accuracy, credibility, and research conclusions.
Materials And Methods: Twelve manuscripts written by the Global Andrology Forum (GAF) members between 2023 and 2024 were randomly selected for this study. The manuscripts and "Quotation Verification Sheets" were analyzed by senior GAF researchers to detect the number and types of quotation errors.
Purpose: Trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) is currently approved for treating metastatic breast cancer (MBC) which is HER2-positive (immunohistochemistry [IHC] score of 3+ or ISH positivity) or HER2-low (IHC score of 1+ or IHC 2+/ISH negative), as well as for HER2-positive gastric cancer, HER2-mutant lung cancer, and HER2 overexpressing solid tumors. Given the increasing utilization of T-DXd, we sought to determine how HER2 receptor status might change following T-DXd therapy.
Design: We retrospectively reviewed patients with MBC who received T-DXd at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Aim: The aim of the study is to determine sac volume based on radiological examinations in patients undergoing surgery for myelomeningocele (MMC) and to investigate the relationship of sac volume with hydrocephalus and Chiari malformation type 2 (CM) with a view to determining the optimum length of follow-up and recommend a treatment plan.
Material And Methods: The present study involved the retrospective review of radiologic examinations and medical files of 81 patients who underwent surgery for myelomeningocele between 2015 and 2022 in the neurosurgery clinic of Ankara Training and Research Hospital. Then, MMC sac volumes were measured and the statistical relationship of these measurements with the Evans Index, progressive enlargement of the ventricles after sac repair and CM was investigated.
