Objective: Despite significant advances in understanding hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in recent years, there is a need to improve risk stratification for patients at high risk of adverse outcomes. The relationship between inflammation and disease severity in HCM patients is known. Recently, a new inflammation parameter called the pan-immune inflammation value (PIV) has been introduced.

Systemic PHA is caused by variants that deactivate the epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) subunits. Management is challenging due to high-dose oral replacement therapy, and patients with systemic PHA require lifelong treatment.

Separation occurs over time, with particles being fractionated based on size and other physico-chemical properties. GrFFF takes advantage of gravitational forces acting perpendicularly to a laminar flow in a thin channel.

The role of HOTAIR and HOXD genes in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is not well known. In this study, expression levels of HOXD8, HOXD9 and HOXD11 from HOXD gene family and HOTAIR were determined from peripheral blood samples of 30 AML and 30 CML patients and 20 healthy volunteers by quantitative Real Time PCR.

Noise causes an increase in the incidence of cardioembolic events, yet the relevant underlying pathophysiology remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between signal peptide and complement C1r/C1s, Uegf, and Bmp1-epidermal growth factor domain-containing protein-1 (SCUBE-1) in the pathophysiology of cardioembolic events in individuals exposed to noisy environments.

Here, we present the first case of septic arthritis caused by and a literature review of invasive infections. The diagnosis was confirmed by the patient's clinical findings and microbiological examination of the joint fluid.

In healthy muscle, MuSK regulates a phosphorylation pathway, which is essential for the development and maintenance of acetylcholine receptor (AChR) clusters at the neuromuscular junction. Autoantibodies directed against MuSK are predominantly of the IgG4 subclass, but there is increasing evidence that IgG1-3 could also contribute to the pathology underlying MuSK-MG.

Materials And Methods: Between November 2018 and March 2020, 165 posterior deep caries lesions in 134 patients were included in the study and randomly assigned into test (n = 101) and control (n = 64) groups. The control group (n = 46) received the treatment of SRFD with CS, while the test group was further randomized into two groups to receive SRSD with CS (n = 45) and SRSD without CS (n = 45).
Doner kebab is a traditional Turkish meat product produced from lamb, beef or poultry meat seasoned with a blend of spices such as salt, black pepper, cumin, thyme and/or sauces. The aim of this study was to determine 16 EU priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in doner kebabs cooked under four different heating sources (electricity, open gas, wood and charcoal grilling). For this purpose, 200 meat doner and 200 chicken doner kebab samples were obtained randomly from various buffets and restaurants located in Istanbul and analyzed by means of GC-MS.

Methods: Patient data obtained from the Urologic Cancer Database-Bladder (UroCaD-B) of Turkish Uro-oncology Association (TUOA) were evaluated. Data from 292 patients from 12 centers with primary T1HG treated with TURBT and maintenance BCG between 2003 and 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.
Hypothetical axions provide a compelling explanation for dark matter and could be emitted from the hot solar interior. The CERN Axion Solar Telescope has been searching for solar axions via their back conversion to x-ray photons in a 9-T 10-m long magnet directed toward the Sun. We report on an extended run with the International Axion Observatory pathfinder detector, doubling the previous exposure time.

Background: Syndesmosis injuries in ankle fractures can significantly impact patient mobility and recovery, making the choice of fixation method crucial for optimal outcomes. This study aimed to compare the quality of reduction and functional results between screw fixation and dynamic fixation in treating syndesmosis injuries in ankle fractures.
Methods: This cohort study included 48 patients (28 males, 20 females) with an ankle fracture accompanied by syndesmosis injury.
Purpose: To develop a nomogram to predict the probability of cesarean hysterectomy (CH) in placenta accreta spectrum disorders (PASD) patients.
Methods: Data from 520 patients who underwent surgery with a preliminary diagnosis of PASD at a tertiary center in southeast Turkey between 2013 and 2023 were collected, and 302 patients were included in the study. A predictive model based on clinical and ultrasonographic variables was developed using penalized maximum likelihood estimation (PMLE) regression analysis.
Objective: To evaluate the potential advantages of combined general and epidural anesthesia for major gynecological oncological surgeries.
Materials And Methods: The data of 690 gynecological cancer were retrospectively examined, and 223 patients who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. The patients were divided into two groups: Group G (123 patients who received general anesthesia only) and Group C (100 patients who received combined epidural and general anesthesia.
This study discusses plant-mediated effects of beneficial soil-borne microorganisms on population growth parameters of Spodoptera exigua (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), a major cotton pest. In particular, we investigated the impact of these microorganisms on oxidative stress, chlorophyll content, and sugar and protein levels in cotton plants, and how these changes in the plant affect the survival, development, reproduction, and ultimately population growth of the pest. A longer preadult period, lower preadult survival rate, and lower reproduction were obtained for the pest cohort feeding on treated plants, which resulted in lower population parameters, i.
