Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, often presenting challenges in treatment due to its clinical and genetic heterogeneity. This study investigated the anticancer potential of root extract on the human neuroblastoma cell line (SH-SY5Y). Using XTT assays, ELISA-based oxidative stress markers, and RT-PCR analysis of apoptotic genes, the study explored the extract's effects on cell proliferation, oxidative stress, and apoptosis.

The objective of this study is to investigate the potential of utilizing bee venom (BV)-loaded zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanoparticles as a novel strategy for specifically targeting and treating medullary thyroid cancer cells. Due to their wide surface area and configurable pore size, ZIF-8 nanoparticles are ideal for drug delivery.

Objectives: Although the genetic basis for morphea is important, reports on the evaluation of Toll-like receptors (TLR) in this disease is quite limited. We aimed to evaluate TLR expression levels and serum IL-6, IL-17A, TGF-β1, FGF, and VEGF levels in patients with morphea and compare these results with healthy controls.
Ovarian cancer belongs to the category of gynecological malignancies and unfortunately holds the distinction of being the most aggressive among them. It is ranked as the fifth highest cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. The utilization of metal nanoparticles (NPs) linked with natural herbal molecules in biomedical applications has been on the rise.

Due to its resistance to conventional treatments, alternative therapies such as boric acid have been explored. Boric acid, a boron-based compound, has shown anticarcinogenic effects, positioning it as a potential treatment option for MTC.

Additionally, we compared overall mortality rates relative to the telomerase activity.
Methods: A total of 211 patients (78 ACS and 71 SCAD patients) were included in the study.
The characterization of individual nanoparticles in a liquid constitutes a critical challenge for the environmental, material, and biological sciences. To detect nanoparticles, electronic approaches are especially desirable owing to their compactness and lower costs. While electronic detection in the form of resistive-pulse sensing has enabled the acquisition of geometric properties of various analytes, impedimetric measurements to obtain dielectric signatures of nanoparticles have scarcely been reported.

TQ-SeNPs were synthesized, and their size, morphology, and elemental analysis were characterized. Morphological changes were examined by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most prevalent form of CTCL, accounting for approximately 60 % of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas and 50 % of all primary cutaneous lymphomas. Despite ongoing research, the precise pathogenesis of MF remains incompletely understood.

In this study, we aimed to determine the mRNA expression and antiproliferative effects of fusaric acid in Ishikawa endometrium cancer cells in signal pathway genes associated with Toll-like receptors (TLRs). The effect of fusaric acid on the viability of Ishikawa cells was evaluated using XTT.

The present study was designed to evaluate possible cytotoxic, genotoxic, apoptotic, oxidant and antioxidant effects of thymol on hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) cell line. The cytotoxic effect of thymol on HepG2 cell line was determined by XTT test.

The aim of this study was to investigate the apoptosis-mediated anticarcinogenic effects of monensin in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. The effects of monensin on cell viability, invasion, migration, and colony formation were determined by XTT, matrigel-chamber, wound healing, and colony formation tests, respectively.

Oxidative stress plays an important role in cancer initiation, progression, proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis. For this reason, one of the important strategic targets of new cancer therapeutics is to drive cancer cells into apoptosis through oxidative stress.

Although monensin is known to exhibit anticancer activity in different cancer types, there are a very limited number of studies on its anti-inflammatory effects in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the TLR4/IRF3-mediated antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects of monensin in colorectal cancer cells.

In this study, we aimed to compare gut microbial composition using 16S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) sequencing techniques in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and stable heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction and patients with CAD but with normal ejection fraction. We also studied the relationship between systemic inflammatory markers and microbial richness and diversity.
