Background: Areas of conduction disorders play an important role in both initiation and perpetuation of AF and can be recognized by specific changes in unipolar potential morphology. For example, EGM fractionation may be caused by asynchronous activation of adjacent cardiomyocytes because of structural barriers such as fibrotic strands. However, it is unknown whether there are sex differences in unipolar potential morphology.

Although many research studies observed antitumor effect of propolis extracts in various types of cancer, the mechanism of effect are still obscure. In this study, we investigated the effect of propolis on PPP2R1A expression and its relationship with apoptosis in the SW-620 (colorectal cancer), DU-145 and PC-3 (prostate cancer), and MCF-7 (breast cancer) cell lines, with WI-38 (healthy fibroblast) cells serving as the control.

Methods: The study involved 41 patients. Sixteen facial landmarks, including six individual and five paired points, were marked on each participant's face.
Background: Dynamins are defined as a group of molecules with GTPase activity that play a role in the formation of endocytic vesicles and Golgi apparatus. Among them, DNM3 has gained recognition in oncology for its tumor suppressor role. Based on this, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the DNM3 gene in patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer using bioinformatics databases.

Methods: Thirty-five male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: sham,4-AP (2.5 mg/kg i.
The Ottawa Sitting Scale is a tool for the multidimensional assessment of sitting balance. This study aimed to investigate the validity, reliability, and psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Ottawa Sitting Scale (OSS-TR) in Turkish-speaking patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). The study included 56 patients diagnosed with PD based on the UK Brain Bank Criteria.

Summary Answer: SN is a safe method for embryo preservation and significantly improves post-warming survival rates during repeated vitrification-warming cycles; however, after a single freeze-thaw cycle, pregnancy outcomes are not improved when embryos are vitrified with SN compared to LN.
What Is Known Already: SN is a combination of solid and LN, with a temperature lower than regular LN, and it is an alternative to conventional LN in achieving a faster cooling speed. Studies have shown that SN improves survival in non-human embryos and human oocytes.
This work describes the development of the first enantioselective addition reaction between 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-BODIPYs and isatin derivatives. The reaction utilizes bifunctional quinine/squaramide organocatalysts and affords nine novel chiral BODIPY dyes under mild conditions, with enantioselectivities reaching up to 60%. The synthesized BODIPY-oxindoles exhibit high fluorescence emissions, consistent with their parent BODIPYs, and display tunable colors.

It is common for these diseases to coexist. However, except for a single case secondary to varicella zoster virus infection, the association between juvenile idiopathic arthritis and acute cerebellitis has not been reported in the literature.

Subjects And Methods: This retrospective multicenter study involved 511 patients who underwent isolated on-pump CABG. Their ACEF scores were calculated, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to develop a nomogram model.
Analyzing the levels of forgiveness and compassion, which may influence patient care and professional attitudes of the nurses, may provide data for nursing education and practices. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between compassion, forgiveness, and the caring behaviors of the nurses and reveal the role of compassion on forgiveness and nursing care behaviors. This cross-sectional study was conducted at a research and training hospital between July and December 2021 with 515 nurses.

Materials And Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Open Grey up to September 2024. Studies evaluating the flexural strength of PFDPs fabricated by 3D printing systems were included.
In this study, we explored the biocultural mechanisms underlying ancient craft behaviours. Archaeological methods were integrated with neuroscience techniques to explore the impact on neuroplasticity resulting from the introduction of early pottery techniques. The advent of ceramic marked a profound change in the economy and socio-cultural dynamics of past societies.

We present a case of a 43-year-old female with undiagnosed ALCAPA who initially underwent mitral valve surgery for severe mitral regurgitation, only to require reoperation due to adult-type ALCAPA. Intraoperatively, the discovery of dilated right coronary artery and its branches and absence of the left coronary ostium prompted further investigation, leading to the diagnosis of adult-type ALCAPA.

Objective: Language disorder, a prevalent developmental disorder, impedes children's communication skills, with genetic and environmental factors playing pivotal roles in its pathomechanism. This study aims to investigate the involvement of sequence variations in and genes, along with environmental variables, in language disorder's etiology.
Methods: Between September 2022 and March 2023, thirty children aged 2-7 diagnosed with language disorders according to DSM-5 criteria, and evaluated using the Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory, were studied to identify genetic and environmental factors contributing to etiology.
Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of dexmedetomidine, midazolam, propofol, and intralipid on lidocaine-induced cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity.
Methods: Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups (n = 8 per group): control (C), lidocaine (L), lidocaine + dexmedetomidine (LD), lidocaine + midazolam (LM), lidocaine + propofol (LP), and lidocaine + intralipid (LI). Dexmedetomidine (100 µg/kg), midazolam (4 mg/kg), propofol (40 mg/kg), and intralipid (10 mg/kg) were administered intraperitoneally as pretreatment.
Parkinson's disease is primarily marked by mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic abnormalities. We recently reported that the combined metabolic activators improved the immunohistochemical parameters and behavioural functions in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease animal models and the cognitive functions in Alzheimer's disease patients. These metabolic activators serve as the precursors of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and glutathione, and they can be used to activate mitochondrial metabolism and eventually treat mitochondrial dysfunction.
