Background: To evaluate the efficacy of royal jelly in managing experimentally created MRONJ model in rats.
Methods: Sixty rats were randomly allocated into control, bisphosphonate (BP), royal jelly (RJ), Treatment, and Preventive groups. A defect was created in the alveolar socket following tooth extraction in the mandible as a surgical procedure in all groups.
Background: Education and enhancing the knowledge of adolescents who will undergo kidney transplantation are among the primary objectives of their care. While there are specific interventions in place to achieve this, they require extensive resources. The rise of large language models like ChatGPT-3.

While isotretinoin is the most effective treatment for severe acne, its effects on hematological markers of inflammation, in particular red cell distribution width (RDW)-to-lymphocyte and RDW-to-platelet ratios, remain unclear.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 450 acne patients treated with isotretinoin for at least 24 weeks.
Heterozygous loss-of-function (LoF) variants in , a transcription factor known to play key roles in ciliogenesis, result in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental delay. RFX binding motifs are also enriched upstream of genes found to be commonly dysregulated in transcriptomic analyses of brain tissue from individuals with idiopathic ASD. Still, the precise functions of in the human brain is unknown.

Background: Although numerous candidate genes have been identified in studies investigating the role of genetics in sarcoidosis, the strongest association has been reported with the Major Histocompatibility Complex/Human Leucocyte Antigen (MHC/HLA) region. This study aimed to evaluate HLA polymorphism and assess its association with cardiac and other extrapulmonary involvement in sarcoidosis patients.
Methods: The study included 67 patients diagnosed with sarcoidosis.
Objective: Use of peptide-based formulas supplemented with medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) is considered a beneficial strategy to decrease the tube-feeding associated gastrointestinal tolerance. In children with cerebral palsy (CP), overall effects of enteral tube feeding as well as the utility of peptide-based specialized enteral formulas in those with gastrointestinal intolerance have not been extensively studied. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of enteral tube feeding via specialized peptide-based formula containing MCTs in children with CP in terms of gastrointestinal intolerance, anthropometrics, defecation characteristics and parental satisfaction with enteral formula.

Background: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by facial erythema, telangiectasia, and papules. Although clinical assessment is essential for diagnosis, objective criteria for evaluating severity are lacking. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between rosacea severity, disease duration, and associated microvascular changes through oral mucosal capillaroscopy.

Different approaches can be applied to characterize them, even featuring low-dimensionality data sets. The liquid-phase reaction of [Cu(6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl)]PF () with -butyl hydroperoxide is investigated: two Cu species are found upon oxidation of the pristine complex, characterized by different spectroscopic and kinetics fingerprints.

The surgical procedure detailed in this case report focuses on the treatment of a large cardiac hydatid cyst located in the intraventricular septum. The surgical intervention comprised a comprehensive approach involving a median sternotomy and cardiopulmonary bypass. A localized mass below the tricuspid valve at the basal region of the interventricular septum was revealed.

This condition is firmly coupled with unprovoked seizures stimulated by irrepressible neuroelectrical blasts. Orally taken valproate family has been employed for prophylactic management; however, oral administration is not applicable for critical scenarios, thus calling for medication routes fulfilling necessities of immediate innervation.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 139 men ≥18 years of age who underwent testicular detorsion with fixation (n = 90) or orchiectomy (n = 49) due to testicular torsion in five different tertiary centers between May 2019 and August 2023. Demographic, pre-, peri- and postoperative data were analyzed.
This study investigates the green synthesis of chitosan-based silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) and their application as antimicrobial coatings for food preservation. The effects of three coatings were evaluated on refrigerated tomatoes over 22 days: distilled water (control), 1 % chitosan (CH), and chitosan-based Ag NPs (Ag/CH). The synthesized Ag/CH was characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, DLS, and XRD, confirming successful synthesis and a crystalline face-centered cubic structure.

In this study, the behavioral development of Kangal puppies was investigated through repeated open-field testing, focusing on exploratory behavior, mobility, and responses to novel stimuli. Thirty-three Kangal puppies (20 males and 13 females) from various breeding centers in Sivas Province, Türkiye, were evaluated.

In particular, the number of examples where the C-based ligand is not part of the chelating ligand remains scarce. These compounds are of interest because they could pave the way to designing catalytic cycles of bond forming reactions proceeding via organoiron(IV) intermediates.

However, the importance of the kinase function of IKKα in human physiology remains unknown since no biallelic variants disrupting its kinase activity have been reported. In this study, we present a homozygous germline missense variant in the kinase domain of IKKα, which is present in three children from two Turkish families.

Background: To investigate the effect of lower border osteotomy on the lingual split pattern and IAN in BSSO procedures.
Materials And Methods: The study comprised 32 patients (64 operated sides) who underwent bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) due to dentofacial abnormalities between the periods of April 2021 and April 2022. In the mandible, 32 sides (the conventional group) received standard BSSO surgery, while 32 sides (the modified group) additionally received lower border osteotomy.
