Rationale: Pulmonary sequestration (PS), a rare pulmonary disease, arises from congenital pulmonary vascular dysplasia. Meanwhile, pulmonary actinomycosis is a purulent infection of lung lesions triggered by the inhalation of actinomycetes, which is also uncommon. Even rarer is the occurrence of pulmonary actinomycete infection secondary to PS.

The etiology of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is significantly impacted by a variety of immune cells. Nevertheless, the existing techniques for sequencing peripheral blood T cell receptor (TCR) or B cell receptor (BCR) libraries in HFRS are constrained by both limitations and high costs. In this investigation, we utilized the computational tool TRUST4 to generate TCR and BCR libraries utilizing comprehensive RNA-seq data from peripheral blood specimens of HFRS patients.

Background: The pathogenesis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is strongly influenced by an impaired immune system. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying its development and progression have not been elucidated. In this study, the computational methods TRUST4 were used to construct a T-cell receptor (TCR) and B-cell receptor (BCR) repertoire from the peripheral blood of JIA patients bulk RNA-seq data, after which the clonality and diversity of the immune repertoire were analyzed.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the significance of miRNA expression levels in peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients clinically diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis.

Method: Pulmonary tuberculosis-related datasets in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database were analyzed, and DE-miRNAs were screened for Gene Ontology (GO) analysis and Kyoto Encyclopaedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment to construct a DE-miRNA-DE-mRNA network. The peripheral blood lymphocytes of 10 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 patients with rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis and 10 healthy volunteers were selected for validation of RNA expression levels.

Objective: Driver gene mutation in lung adenocarcinoma patients in Zunyi and its relationship with clinical features were probed in this investigation.

Methods: In total, with 244 patients with lung adenocarcinoma as study subjects, including 141 males and 103 females, amplification-refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) was utilized for detecting multigene mutations. Subsequently, the relationship between gene mutation and clinical characteristics was analyzed.

Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) results in harmful consequences during ischemic stroke, especially the disruption of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), which leads to severe hemorrhagic transformation through aggravation of edema and brain hemorrhage. Our previous study demonstrated that icariside II (ICS II), which is derived from Herba Epimedii, attenuates cerebral I/R injury by inhibiting the GSK-3β-mediated activation of autophagy both in vitro and in vivo. However, the effect of ICS II on the BBB remains unclear.
