Scrub typhus (ST) is caused by the bacterium , which exhibits significant antigenic diversity and is prevalent in the Asia-Pacific region. Its clinical presentation is characterized by non-specific symptoms such as headache, myalgia, sweating, and vomiting, along with the abrupt onset of fever and chills. An eschar is often visible in the axilla, groin, or inguinal area and is present in around half of the confirmed cases.
