[Methodical problems of monitoring of fine particulate matters in atmospheric air of residential areas].

Inhalation of fine particulate matters (PM and PM ) poses a threat for the health of population. Purpose of the study the analysis of the monitoring of fine particulate matters in the atmospheric air of Saint-Petersburg and identification of the main problems of the monitoring. Research methods methods of scientific hypothetical deductive cognition, sanitary-statistical methods, general logical methods and approaches of researches: analysis, synthesis, abstracting, generalization, induction.

[Modern problems of the application of sanitary regulations concerning sanitary protection zones and sanitary classification of enterprises, buildings and other facilities].

In this paper there was performed an analysis of the application of sanitary norms and rules concerning sanitary protective zones and sanitary classification of enterprises, buildings and other facilities, including requirements for the sufficiency and accuracy of information in the performance of projects in sanitary protection zone (SPZ). There is presented an analysis of regulations that set requirements for implementation of mapping works in drafting the SPZ. The design of the SPZ was shown to be, on the one hand, the element of territorial planning subjects of the Russian Federation, on the other hand, the object of capital construction.

[On the problem of assessment of occupational health risk in personnel performing intense visual work].

In the work an there is given an assessment of the working conditions during intense visual activity without the use of displays medium and optical devices. It is proved that the indices of evaluation of the light environment in accordance with "Guidelines for hygienic assessment of factors working environment and labor process" P 2.2.

[Hygienic assessment of a biological factor at a garbage-processing enterprise].

The study of a biological factor at solid domestic waste-processing enterprises has established that air and the surface of technological equipment are highly contaminated with bacteria and molds.

The authors summarize experience of using "Act on procedure of working environment assessment at workplace". The authors analyze drawbacks of main documents used in assessment of working environment at workplace.

[Work conditions and health status of specialist meteorologists working with weather charts].

The contributors present a generalized description of the labour conditions' hygienic assessment and state of health of the communication service technicians and weather forecasters engaged in the State meteorology service centres in the northern and southern regions of the country. The unfavourable labour conditions' impact on the health state is revealed depending on the specificity of the weather-chart makers' working conditions, which lead to morbidity with temporary disability and occupational skin and upper respiratory tract diseases. A complex of tested measures is proposed for the improvement of the working conditions in question.
