Gestational Age (GA) at birth plays a crucial role in identifying potential vulnerabilities to long-term difficulties in cognitive and behavioral development. The present study aims to explore the influence of gestational age on the efficiency of early visual attention orienting, as a potential marker for the development of specific high-level socio-cognitive skills. We administered the Gap-Overlap task to measure the attentional orienting and disengagement performance of 16-month-olds born between the 34th and 41st weeks of gestation.

Real-World Persistence and Treatment Patterns in Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis Treated with Anti-IL17 Therapy in Spain: The PerfIL-17 Study.

Introduction: Given the growing interest and use of interleukin-17 inhibitors (anti-IL17) for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (PsA), an observational study has been conducted to characterize the patient profile, treatment patterns, and persistence of ixekizumab or secukinumab in patients with PsA receiving them as first anti-IL17.

Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective study, conducted at eight Spanish hospitals where data from adult patients with PsA were collected from electronic medical records. Three cohorts of patients, initiating treatment with an anti-IL17 [secukinumab 150 mg (SECU150), secukinumab 300 mg (SECU300), or ixekizumab (IXE)] between January 2019 and March 2021, were included.

Introduction: Ixekizumab (IXE) is an IgG4-type monoclonal antibody targeting IL-17A indicated alone or in combination with methotrexate, for the treatment of active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in adult patients with insufficient response or with intolerance to one or more disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) therapy. The PRO-STIP study aimed to describe persistence, patient characteristics, treatment patterns, and effectiveness in patients with PsA receiving IXE in a real-world clinical setting in Spain.

Methods: This was an observational, multicentric, retrospective, longitudinal study in adult PsA patients who started IXE between January 2019 and December 2020, with at least 24 weeks of follow-up.

The genetically related assemblages of the intestinal protozoa parasite are morphologically indistinguishable and are often derived from specific hosts. The assemblages are separated by large genetic distances, which might account for their relevant biological and pathogenic differences. In this work, we analyzed the RNAs cargo released into exosomal-like vesicles (ElVs) by the assemblages A and B, which differentially infect humans, and the assemblage E, which infects hoofed animals.

Camelids are the only living representatives of the Suborder Tylopoda, and present a unique set of osteo-myological masticatory features, differing from all other extant euungulates. Background: Inhibitory control (IC) is the ability to prevent prepotent responses when inappropriate. Longitudinal research on IC development has mainly focused on early childhood and adolescence, while research on IC development in the first years of life is still scarce. To address this gap in the literature, we explored the association between executive attention (EA) and elementary forms of IC in infancy and toddlerhood, with individual differences in IC later at 5 years of age.

Development of visual attention control in early childhood: Associations with temperament and home environment.

Endogenous visual attention orienting is early available from infancy. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease which, when left untreated, may result in the destruction of multiple joints and damage a wide variety of body systems, including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart, and blood vessels. The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review of disease burden for RA in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela. PubMed/Medline, Embase, and Web of Science were searched for publications in English, Spanish, or Portuguese from 2008 through June 2018.

Attention: The grounds of self-regulated cognition.

Everyone knows what paying attention is, yet not everybody knows what this means in cognitive and brain function terms. The attentive state can be defined as a state of optimal activation that allows selecting the sources of information and courses of action in order to optimize our interaction with the environment in accordance with either the saliency of the stimulation or internal goals and intentions. In this article we argue that paying attention consists in tuning the mind with the environment in a conscious and controlled mode in order to enable the strategic and flexible adaptation of responses in accordance with internal motivations and goals.

Structural Diversity of Hydrogen-Bonded 4-Aryl-3,5-Dimethylpyrazoles for Supramolecular Materials.

The 1-pyrazoles have high versatility and ability to form hydrogen-bonded supramolecular materials. In this study, the thermal stability, fluorescence, and H-bonding ability of the studied 3,5-dimethyl-4-(4-X-phenyl)-1-pyrazoles showed large differences depending on the terminal substituent. Supramolecular structures were analyzed using X-ray diffraction and Hirshfeld surface calculations.

Background: Sudden death (SD) in the young usually has an underlying genetic cause. In many cases, autopsy reveals unspecific and inconclusive results, like idiopathic left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), nonsignificant coronary atherosclerosis (CA), and primary myocardial fibrosis (PMF). Their pathogenicity and their relation to SD cause is unknown.

Primary Sjögren syndrome (pSS) is usually a mild disease, but serious complications such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma-and hypothetically other malignancies-may develop. The aim of this study was to evaluate both overall and specific incidence of cancer in a cohort of patients with pSS compared to the expected incidence in general population of Argentina. Retrospective analytic study of pSS patients fulfilling American-European Consensus Group (AECG) criteria, followed from the time of their diagnosis until the end of the study, death, loss of follow- up, or being given a diagnosis of cancer.

Objectives: The aims of this study were to compare learned helplessness (LH) and perceived self-efficacy (SE) in patients with fibromyalgia (FM) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to assess their correlation with functional disability, level of perceived pain, and fatigue.

Methods: This multicenter, cross-sectional study included consecutive patients (aged ≥18 years) with RA, according to the 2010 American College of Rheumatology/European League Against Rheumatism criteria, and FM, according to 2010 American College of Rheumatology criteria.
