Shear Bond Strength of Three Composite Resins to Fluorosed and Sound Dentine: In Vitro Study.

Introduction: This in vitro study compared the shear strength of three composite resin systems to fluorosed and normal dentin.

Methods: Silorane FiltekTM P90, FiltekTMZ250 XT in combination with the adhesive system AdperTM Single bond 2, and Amelogen® Plus in association with Peak Universal Bond® were tested. Fifteen normal and 15 fluorosed dentine disks were prepared per material.

Chemical composition, Fatty acids profile and Biological properties of Thymus capitatus (L.) Hoffmanns, essential Oil.

T. capitatus is widely used in traditional medicine in Tunisia. The main goal of this study was to evaluate the phytochemical composition, the fatty acids profile, the antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal activities as well as the cytotoxic potential of the essential oil (EO) of this plant.

Phytochemical Analysis and Assessment of Biological Properties of Essential Oils Obtained from Thyme and Rosmarinus Species.

Biochemical and histological evaluation of kidney damage after sub-acute exposure to 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic herbicide in rats: involvement of oxidative stress.

The present study evaluated the effects of sub-acute exposure to different doses of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) on rat kidney. Forty animals were divided into four equal groups and treated with different doses of 2,4-D: 0, 15, 75 and 150 mg/kg body weight per day via oral gavage for 28 consecutive days. Renal function, histopathology, tissue malondialdehyde and antioxidant enzyme activities were evaluated.

Hepatotoxicity induced by sub-acute exposure of rats to 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid based herbicide "Désormone lourd".

"Désormone Lourd" is a 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic based herbicide that includes 600 g/L 2,4-D. In this study we analyzed the toxic effects of 2,4-D on rat liver. Animals were daily treated with 15, 75 and 150 mg/kg, via oral gavage during 4 weeks.

Spermicidal activity of extract from Cestrum parqui.

Objective: The leaf extract of Cestrum parqui was examined for its effects on sperm motility in vitro.

Methods: Washed sperm were prepared by discontinuous buoyant density gradient centrifugation and incubated with varying concentrations of extract from C. parqui (40-250 microg/mL) at 37 degrees C and 5% CO(2).
