Worldwide and in India head and neck malignancies are a major contributor to cancer mortality and morbidity. Tongue cancer predominates oral cavity cancers worldwide but in India it comes next to buccal mucosa. OPD patients after completing treatment tend to ask about the prognosis of their disease where they want an objective answer to "How long will I live?" His scoring system is intended to answer this question and guide patients for adjuvant therapy.

Kimura Disease: Rare Parotid Entity.

Kimura disease is a rare chronic inflammatory disorder of unknown cause, primarily seen in young Asian males. The disease is characterized by painless subcutaneous swelling, blood and tissue eosinophilia and raised IgE levels. Early diagnosis of Kimura's disease may spare the patient from unnecessary invasive diagnostic procedure.

Salivary gland tumors are rare and accounting for only 2-3% of tumors occurring in head and neck region. Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign neoplasm which is very commonly encountered in the parotid gland and other major salivary glands. Few times they can also develop in minor salivary glands of the palate.
