Drought stress, which significantly affects growth and reduces grain yield, is one of the main problems for wheat crops. Producing promising drought-tolerant wheat cultivars with high yields is one of the main targets for wheat breeders. In this study, a total of seven drought-tolerant wheat genotypes were screened for the presence of 19 specific drought tolerance genes.

Quantitative trait loci (QTL) is one of the most important steps in marker-assisted selection. Few studies have validated quantitative trait loci for marker-assisted selection of yield traits under drought stress conditions in wheat. A set of 138 highly diverse wheat genotypes were tested under normal and drought stress conditions for 2 years.

Due to the advances in DNA markers, kompetitive allele-specific PCR (KASP) markers could accelerate breeding programs and genetically improve drought tolerance. Two previously reported KASP markers, and , were investigated in this study for the marker-assisted selection (MAS) of drought tolerance. Two highly diverse spring and winter wheat populations were genotyped using these two KASP markers.

We explore the dissipative dynamics of two coupled qubits placed inside a coherent cavity-field under dipole-dipole interplay and 2-photon transitions. The generated non-classical correlations (NCCs) beyond entanglement are investigated via two measures based on the Hilbert-Schmidt norm. It is found that the robustness of the generated NCCs can be greatly enhanced by performing the intrinsic dissipation rate, dipole-dipole interplay rate, initial coherence intensity and the degree of the coherent state superpositions.

Background: Biliary tract reconstruction continues to be a challenging surgical problem. Multiple experimental attempts have been reported to reconstruct biliary defects with different materials and variable outcome. Our aim was to evaluate a new method for biliary reconstruction using an isolated pedicled gastric tube in a live animal trial and also to present the first clinical case.
