Background In light of the trend of using zirconia crowns, clinicians will likely face abutment included in removable partial dentures (RPD) designs with existing zirconia. However, the decision to replace the existing crown with a surveyed crown or modify the existing crown to accept the RPD is unclear. To the best of our knowledge, there is a lack of literature on the effect of preparing a rest seat on the existing monolithic zirconia crown in the patient's mouth on the fracture resistance of the crown.

Introduction There is a growing demand for post and core systems that offer both ease of use and efficiency. Recently introduced dual-cure build-up and post cement materials exhibit properties similar to dentin. The objective of this laboratory experiment is to compare the fracture resistance among three distinct post and core systems and identify the locations of failures within each group.

Background: Soft denture lining materials act as a cushion between the denture base and tissues. Alongside having many advantages, its main problem is candida growth due to its rubbery and porous texture. Many interventions have been performed to halt the growth of candida within soft lining materials such as the use of antifungal therapy and strict oral and denture hygiene but there are consequences such as recurrence, drug resistance, and toxicity related to these interventions.
