Aortic Calcification in Patients with Nephrolithiasis: A Cross-Sectional Case-Control Study.

Background: Nephrolithiasis is a common condition that has been linked to various systemic diseases. Recent studies have suggested that young patients with nephrolithiasis are at increased risk of developing premature atherosclerosis. This study aims to investigate the relationship between nephrolithiasis and systemic disease by examining the association between aortic calcification and the severity of kidney stone disease.

Introduction: Recent investigations showed that anticholinergic drugs could use for the management of storage symptoms after transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). The use of intravesical botulinum toxin-A (BTX-A) for the management of overactive bladder is rapidly increasing. In this research, we assess the efficacy of BTX-A vs solifenacin in men suffering from bladder outlet obstruction-over active bladder (BOO-OAB) managed with TURP.

Appendicovesicostomy as an Alternative Procedure for Patients with Complex Urethral Distraction Defect.

Boomerang Technique, The Buccal Mucosal Grafting Harvesting Model for Long Urethral Stricture Urethroplasty; A Case Series.

Purpose: Currently, three methods are implicated in cases of long urethral stricture including harvesting buccal mucosa of inner cheeks, harvesting lip mucosa and finally lingual mucosal graft. This study evaluated the feasibility, safety and morbidity of our "Boomerang shape" technique used for graft retrieval from the inner cheeks to repair long urethral defect cases which are usually 12-15 cm in length and 2.5 cm in width.

Laser Therapy for Peyronie's Disease: A Randomized Control Double-Blind Pilot Study.

The management of Peyronie's disease (PD) has remained a therapeutic dilemma for physicians and there is no gold standard treatment. In this paper, we decided to investigate the beneficial effect of the intralesional administration of verapamil compared with the intralesional administration of verapamil plus a low-intensity laser (LIL). Research was activated from May 2016 to May 2018 and a total of 38 men aged 18 years and older completed the investigation.

Feasibility, complication and long-term follow-up of the newly nelaton based urethral dilation method, retrospective study.

Transurethral lithotripsy (TUL) is an appropriate treatment for ureteral stones and is usually used for stones in the middle and lower part of the ureter. Different devices such as the Holmium laser, the stone basket, and the stone cone exist to prevent any fragments from retropulsion during TUL. The present study aims to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the Holmium laser, the stone basket, and the stone cone.

Penile fracture (PF) is considered an emergency in urology. In the literature there are some case series reporting considerable incidence of PF in some parts of Iran. There are no accurate data about the incidence of PF all around Iran.

Comparing Monotherapy with Tadalafil or Tamsulosin and Their Combination Therapy in Men with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: A Randomized Clinical Trial.

Purpose: To compare monotherapy with tadalafil or tamsulosin and their combination therapy in men with benignprostatic hyperplasia and erectile dysfunction by comparing IPSS score, prostate volume and Qmax and someother outcomes.

Materials And Methods: This randomized, single-blind, paralleled group clinical trial was done in 2013 on patientswho had referred to our hospital in Tehran. All patients with lower urinary tract symptoms, benign prostatichyperplasia and any grade of erectile dysfunction were recruited.

Six years' experience of laparoscopic varicocelectomy using bipolar electrosurgery and its effect on semen parameters.

Purpose: To evaluate postoperative results of laparoscopic varicocelectomy using bipolar electrosurgery and analyze semen according to the grade of varicocele after surgery.

Materials And Methods: In a six-year period, 416 men with clinical varicocele and impaired semen parameters or infertility underwent laparoscopic varicocelectomy using bipolar electrosurgery. All patients were assessed for hydrocele and recurrence of varicocele six months and one year after the procedure.
