In this work, we propose a possible correlation between carbohydrate content in hazelnut pollen (wild type) and viability/germinability, also in a perspective of adaptation to climate variability. Samples from four different cultivation fields in Italy showed values of pollen viability characterized by high levels, ranging between 77.3 and 98.

RAAS inhibitors, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEis) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), have advantages beyond BP control. However, differences between these two drug classes need to be considered when choosing a therapy for preventing cardiovascular events.

Methods: The analysis included consecutive HGG patients with dynamic [18F]FDOPA PET imaging within 3 months of the end of TMZ therapy, post-Stupp protocol. Static and dynamic PET parameters, responses to RANO criteria for MRI and clinical and histo-molecular factors were correlated to progression-free (PFS).
Introduction And Importance: Eosinophilic cholecystitis is an unusual condition in which more than 90 % of the inflammatory infiltrate in the gallbladder wall is comprised of eosinophils. The pathogenesis of eosinophilic cholecystitis is still unknown, but in some cases, it is related to hyper-eosinophilic syndrome, parasitosis, infections, and drugs.
Case Presentation: We described two cases in which a woman aged 27 years and a man aged 30 years presented with acute and chronic cholecystitis symptoms, respectively.
Background This study investigated the facial angles and proportions affecting facial aesthetics in patients with skeletal class II division 1 malocclusion between those labeled the most attractive and least attractive in each gender. Methodology The study sample included pretreatment extraoral photographs of 60 patients (30 males and 30 females) with skeletal class II division 1 malocclusion according to the ANB angle aged between 18 and 21 years. A panel of 240 laypersons (aged 20-25 years; the average age of 22.

Aim: The aim of this article is to evaluate the topical effect of camel whey protein (CWP) on the healing of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) and the serum levels of interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α.
Materials And Methods: Forty patients with minor RAS were randomly assigned into control and study groups. The control group applied placebo methylcellulose gel topically over the aphthous ulcer, whereas the study group used CWP dissolved in methylcellulose gel topically over the aphthous ulcer.
Background: Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has a morbidity and mortality benefits in moderate to severe heart failure. It reduces mortality and hospitalization and improves cardiac function. It can be used according to the European guidelines in severely depressed left ventricular ejection fraction (i.

However, recurrence of pulmonary vein (PV) conduction after ablation may limit long-term success. Early identification and treatment of acute PV conduction recovery during initial ablation may have an impact on subsequent clinical results.

We hypothesized that intracoronary eptifibatide infusion via a perfusion catheter improves angiographic and clinical outcome of patients with STEMI undergoing PPCI, versus conventional intracoronary bolus injection.
Methods: Prospectively, we enrolled 80 patients with acute STEMI and thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) thrombus grade ≥ 2.
Objectives: Our study sought to evaluate the effects of silibinin in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treated with methotrexate (MTX).
Methods: We conducted a randomized multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial over a 16-week treatment period at the Al-Sader and Baghdad Teaching Hospitals in Najaf and Baghdad, respectively. A total of 60 patients (30 of each sex) with active RA, already maintained on 12 mg MTX weekly for at least three consecutive months, were included in the study.

Background: Maximal hyperemia is the critical prerequisite for fractional flow reserve (FFR) assessment. Despite intravenous (IV) adenosine currently being the recommended approach, intracoronary (IC) administration of adenosine constitutes a valuable alternative in everyday practice. However, it is surprisingly unclear which IC strategy allows the achievement of FFR values that are comparable to IV adenosine.

The restoration of severely carious primary anterior teeth is a challenge to the pediatric dentist. The introduction of new materials and technologies makes re-evaluation of existing treatment philosophies necessary. A technique involving the placement of an omega shaped stainless steel wire extension into the entrance of the root canal prior to restoring the crown with a compomer material is described.

For human and rabbit vitreous in vitro, the gel sol change with regard to time in respect to concentration of the weak acid was noted. Rabbit eyes in vivo were used.

The combined operation is indicated in cases (1) if the other eye was lost through nonreformation of anterior chamber after a perfect senile cataract extraction; and (2) in very old patients with very shallow anterior chamber especially when there are other senile ocular changes such as flatter, thinner cornea, tendency for uveal vascular engorgement and exudations (after hypotony of operation), and bad wound healing. This is especially true in small hypermetropic eyes with small cornea.
