Global environmental changes, such as climate change and reclamation alterations, significantly influence hydrological processes, leading to hydrologic nonstationarity and challenges in managing water availability and distribution. This study introduces a conceptual underpinning for the rational development and sustainability of groundwater resources. As one of the areas intended for the development projects within the Egyptian national plan for the reclamation of one and a half million acres; hundreds of pumping wells were constructed in the Moghra area to fulfill the reclamation demand.

Given the detrimental effects of internet addiction on students' academic performance and well-being, having time management skills is crucial.
Aims: To assess the prevalence and levels of internet addiction and time management and their association among undergraduate nursing students.
Long term use of Amiodarone (AMIO) is associated with the development of ocular adverse effects. This study investigates the short term effects, and the ameliorative consequence of vitamin E on retinal changes that were associated with administration of AMIO. This is accomplished by investigating both retinal structural and conformational characteristics using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Fundus examination.

Targeting senescence-associated cell surface molecules through immunotherapy emerges as a promising avenue for the selective removal of these cells. Despite its potential, a thorough characterization of senescence-specific surface proteins remains to be achieved.

In response to this emerging need, the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) adapted its Public Health Empowerment Program-Basic Field Epidemiology (PHEP-BFE) to a Blended Learning Model. This study evaluates the Blended PHEP-BFE program in Iraq, Egypt, and Lebanon, focusing on participant reactions and learning outcomes.

The over-activation of the signal transducer/activator of transcription 3 (STAT-3) is expected to significantly impact treatment failure and resistance to VEGFR-2 inhibitors. In this study, we propose the concept of combined inhibition of VEGFR-2 and STAT-3 to combat induced STAT-3-mediated resistance to VEGFR-2 inhibition therapy.

We investigated the role of different memory T-cell subsets, including T stem cell memory (T), in children diagnosed with primary ITP and its association with therapeutic duration. This case-control study included 39 pediatric patients with acute ITP admitted to the Children's Hospital at Assiut University.

Cellular senescence contributes to age-related tissue decline and is characterized by permanent cell cycle arrest and the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). Immunotherapy, particularly CAR-T cell therapy, emerges as a promising approach to selectively eliminate senescent cells.

Thirty-six APRI rabbits (6 weeks of age), after weaning, were randomly divided into three groups (12 rabbits/group, 613 ± 5 g). During the experiment, rabbits aged 6-14 weeks participated in the experiment.

The structure of all synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectral date (FT-IR, H NMR, C NMR) and elemental analysis. We evaluated the anticancer activity of these compounds toward two cell lines: A459 cell line (lung cancer cells) and MCF7 cell line (breast cancer cells).

Methods: This is a prospective randomized controlled study performed in the Urology and Gynecology Departments, Kasr Al Ainy Hospital, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. Two hundred and ten postmenopausal females presenting during the period between January 2017 and November 2020 with stress urinary incontinence were included in the study.
Neuroinflammation occurs in response to different injurious triggers to limit their hazardous effects. However, failure to stop this process can end in multiple neurological diseases. Doxycycline (DX) is a tetracycline, with potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Photoreceptor loss has significant consequences for visual function, and its management is a critical component for treating not only retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa but also its ocular consequences. On the other hand, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy is an excellent tool to investigate molecular structure and dynamics of biological samples, and as a non-destructive and label free measurement, it does not perturb the samples. In this study, detailed analyses of the recorded FTIR spectra from cornea, lens and sclera were performed to monitor the distribution of ocular abnormalities due to photoreceptor layer loss after 1, 3 and 6 days.

Material And Methods: Patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), who had ThuLEP between December 2019 and March 2022 and had a prostate size >80 mL and had not responded to the medication therapy, were included. The prostate size, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), enucleation and morcellation times, postoperative International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), and International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IEFF-5) records at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months were among the information gathered.
Background: Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) is a primary culprit of acute kidney injury. Neurodegeneration can result from I/R, but the mechanisms are still challenging. We studied the implications of bilateral renal I/R on brain and potential involvement of the oxidative stress (OS) driven extracellular signal-regulated kinase1/2, c-Jun N-terminal kinase (ERK1/2, JNK) and Galectin-3 (Gal-3)/nuclear factor Kappa B (NF-қB)/tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), high mobility group box-1 (HMGB-1), and caspase-3 paths upregulation.
