Minimally invasive techniques for metastatic disease treatment in the periacetabular region of the pelvis have grown increasingly popular. Open surgical management of osteolytic lesions in the pelvis are associated with high perioperative complication rates that approach 30-36% and often require suspension of systemic treatment. Conservative measures, such as radiation treatment, can improve functional status in select patients while avoiding the morbidity of open surgical intervention; however, conservative measures do not address the problem of mechanical instability that can lead to pathologic fracture or loss of independence.

For patients with hematologic malignancies requiring allogeneic stem cell transplantation, alternative donor sources are needed when lacking access to a matched related or unrelated donor. Umbilical cord blood (UCB) has been an important alternative allograft donor source for these patients; however, several limitations exist. Omidubicel is a nicotinamide modified allogeneic hematopoietic progenitor cell therapy derived from UCB.

Narcolepsy is a rare lifelong sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness with variable expression of cataplexy, sleep paralysis, sleep-related hallucinations and disrupted nocturnal sleep. Affected individuals also experience additional impairing symptoms, including (but not limited to) difficulties with attention, memory and concentration, brain fog, mood instability and fatigue, with a substantial impact on everyday life. Diagnostic delays of up to 10 years are common, primarily due to the substantial heterogeneity in clinical presentation of narcolepsy symptoms and presence of significant comorbidities.

Background: Genetic perturbation screens with single-cell readouts have enabled rich phenotyping of gene function and regulatory networks. These approaches have been challenging in vivo, especially in adult disease models such as cancer, which include mixtures of malignant and microenvironment cells. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a fatal cancer, and methods of systematically interrogating gene function and therapeutic targets in vivo, especially in combination with standard of care treatment such as radiotherapy, are lacking.

Introduction: Tobacco harm perceptions are associated with tobacco use for both youth and adults, but it is unknown how these harm perceptions have changed over time in a changing tobacco product landscape.

Methods: Data from Waves 1-5 of the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study were analyzed to examine perceptions of harm of eight non-cigarette tobacco products compared to cigarettes. Perceptions of harm were assessed with the questions, "Is smoking/using [product] less harmful, about the same, or more harmful than smoking cigarettes?".

Objective/background: Preference for extended-release, once-nightly sodium oxybate (ON-SXB, FT218) vs twice-nightly immediate-release (IR) oxybate was assessed in participants switching from IR oxybate to ON-SXB in an open-label/switch study, RESTORE (NCT04451668).

Patients/methods: Participants aged ≥16 years with narcolepsy who completed the phase 3 REST-ON trial, were oxybate-naive, or were on a stable IR oxybate dose (≥1 month) were eligible for RESTORE. For participants who switched from twice-nightly dosing to ON-SXB, initial doses were closest or equivalent to their previous nightly IR oxybate dose.
