Spectra of nuclear RNA were studied in leukocytes in healthy donors and in patients with leukoses by DNA-RNA hybridization. Cross competitive hybridization showed that in chronic lymphoid leukosis and acute myeloblastosis new forms of nuclear RNA were observed, which were not found in normal state; in myeloleukosis the nuclear RNA spectra were similar to those of normal granulocytes. The results obtained suggest that universal type of impairments appears to be absent in regulation of transcription in leukoses; it may be related not only to leukosis transformation but depends on variations in cell content of leukocyte populations studied.

In development of experimental melioidosis intoxication, the activity of the mechanisms controlling non-specific immunological reactions changed that was evident from changes both in the quantitative and qualitative indices of phagocytosis. The absorption function of the neutrophils was lowered during 2 days from the moment of administration of acetone killed bacterial mass of the melioidosis causative agent which was evident from decreased percentage and index of phagocytosis as compared to the control animals. The qualitative index of the digestive capacity of the neutrophils, i.

Decreased lysozyme activity was observed under conditions of melioidosis intoxication in rats induced by intraperitoneal administration of an acetone-killed 3-day culture of the bacterial mass of the melioidosis causative agent. When prodigiozan was administered 48 hours by the 4th day which was indicative of prodigiozan activation of the factors of the microbial non-specific resistance.

In the course of selection of Trichoderma viride, the producer of cellulolytic enzymes, the group of mutant strains characterized by a higher level of productivity are isolate. It is shown that the isolated mutants possess a number of common but differing them from original strains characters. These include: the small size of colonies ("dwarfs"), a lower capacity to carry out some biochemical reactions, and increased development rate and a higher resistance to lethal effect of nitrosoguanidine and nitrosoethyl urea.
