Purpose: The CyberKnife quality assurance (QA) program relies mainly on the use of radiochromic film (RCF). We aimed at evaluating high-resolution arrays of detectors as an alternative to films for CyberKnife machine QA.
Methods: This study will test the SRS Mapcheck (Sun Nuclear, Melbourne, Florida, USA) diode array and its own software, which allows three tests of the CyberKnife QA program to be performed.
Purpose: To study and analyze the effect of the use of a thin guide-wire instead of a Foley catheter for urethral definition in prostate stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) treatments and to compare treatment parameters in both situations.
Material And Methods: Thirty-seven prostate SBRT patients were employed in this study. A Foley catheter was employed in nine of them, and a guide-wire was employed in the other 28 patients.
Introduction: The risk of contracting COVID-19 through dental treatment is potentially high, thus several guidelines have been developed to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in the dental office worldwide. These changes have posed some relevant questions among oral health professionals regarding the understanding and attitudes of dental patients toward COVID-19. This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practices of dental patients in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 16-weeks of HIIT on body composition, BP, cardiorespiratory fitness by O , and substrate utilization during exercise among prehypertensive and hypertensive patients with excessive adiposity. We also aimed to test the potential association between changes in cardiorespiratory fitness, substrate utilization during exercise and BP.

Objective: to determine the effect of HIIT training program in subjects with overweight or obesity on the use of fat during exercise, body composition and cardiovascular variables. The second objective was to compare the variables according to the duration of the program (i.

Method: The average glandular dose was estimated with a direct digital detector (aSe) with a pixel size of 0.85 μm, a photon counter with a pixel size of 50 μm and a computerized radiography (CR) system.
Purpose: To propose adaptive setup protocols using Bayesian statistics that facilitate, based on a prediction of coverage probability, making a decision on which patients should follow daily imaging prior to treatment delivery.
Materials And Methods: The suitability of the treatment margins was assessed combining interfraction variability measurements of the first days of treatment with previous data gathered from our patient population. From this information, we decided if a patient needs an online imaging protocol to perform daily isocenter correction before each treatment fraction.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to demonstrate feasibility and analyze dosimetric differences in prone and supine position breast cancer radiotherapy in women with large or pendulous breast.
Methods: Ten post-lumpectomy breast cancer patients underwent supine and prone computed tomography-based treatment plan. On each data set, the whole breast, the ipsilateral lung and the heart were outlined.
The use of botulinum toxin in cerebral palsy is still experimental. We conducted a pilot clinical trial with botulinum toxin injections on 14 children with spastic cerebral palsy. All patients were mobile with dynamic contractures of the gastrocnemius-soleus muscles.

Histopathologic studies of biopsy specimens with papules of skin established that during DEC treatment adult male and female Dipetalonema streptocerca die and degenerate. DEC may thus produce radical cures of streptocerciasis.

In 75 biopsy specimens of skin from 34 patients with streptocerciasis who had been treated with diethylcarbamazine, we found 39 female and six male adult Dipetalonema streptocerca in the dermal collagen. This is the first report of adult male D. streptocerca in man, and identifying features are described.
