The smokeless tobacco: a survey in a cohort of young Italians through a social-media questionnaire.

This observational survey aimed to demonstrate the use of the Snus kind of smokeless tobacco, among young Italian adults from alpine areas. Comparison between macular pigment optical density measurements using two-wavelength autofluorescence and heterochromatic flicker photometry techniques.

Purpose: The association of macular pigment (MP) with age-related macular degeneration has been extensively studied in recent years, and interest in a rapid, objective, and accurate technique to measure MP optical density (MPOD) has increased.
