Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is a rare but underdiagnosed, severe inflammatory bone disease that primarily affects children. It's typically characterized by bone pain, especially within the metaphysis of long bones, clavicles, and vertebrae, but it can present in any bone and with varied presentation, including extraosseous symptoms that may be associated with other autoimmune/inflammatory diseases. Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis is a sterile bone disease that does not typically have an infectious source.

However, some tumors are resistant to immunoradiotherapy. We have previously shown that MER proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase (MerTK) expressed on macrophages mediates resistance to immunoradiotherapy.

M2 TAMs are activated by the STAT6 signaling pathway. Therefore, we targeted STAT6 using an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) along with hypofractionated RT (hRT; 3 fractions of 12 Gy each) to primary tumors in three bilateral murine NSCLC models (Lewis lung carcinoma, 344SQ-parental, and anti-PD-1-resistant 344SQ lung adenocarcinomas).

Preclinical studies often do not use these regimens, since administering these multiagent approaches can be difficult. In this study, we assessed the feasibility of administering these two chemotherapy regimens in spontaneous pancreatic tumors using KPC mice with the ultimate goal of advancing preclinical studies.

Successful eradication strategies have been hampered by a poor understanding of the mechanisms underlying conversion to chronicity. The CFTR-knockout (KO) rat harbors a progressive defect in mucociliary transport and viscosity.

However, the neural signatures associated with these metabolic alterations and underlying molecular mechanisms are still elusive. Accordingly, we reviewed the literature on in vivo human brain H and P-MRS studies and use meta-analyses to identify patterns of brain metabolic alterations in MCI and AD.

Patients with TNBC have a very poor prognosis because the disease often metastasizes. New treatment approaches addressing drivers of metastasis and tumor growth are crucial to improving patient outcomes.

Animal models have been highly informative for understanding the pathogenesis and progression of cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease. In particular, the CF rat models recently developed have addressed mechanistic causes of the airway mucus defect characteristic of CF, and how these may change when cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) activity is restored using new modulator therapies. We hypothesized that inflammatory changes to the airway would develop spontaneously and progressively, and that these changes would be resolved with modulator therapy.

However, both burnout and wellness suffer from a lack of standardized definition, often making interventions difficult to generalize and extrapolate to different sites. Although well-meaning, current frameworks surrounding wellness and burnout have limitations in fully addressing the challenges of improving physician mental health.

In this article, we present a new case of RS and investigate the various components and criteria that have been outlined in the years since this syndrome's original account.

With 2006 GSS data, we assess the effects of religiosity on health and well-being, net of job satisfaction, marital happiness, and financial status. The results indicate that people who identify as religious tend to report better health and happiness, regardless of religious affiliation, religious activities, work and family, social support, or financial status.
