Background: Infusion of T cells modified with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19 has achieved exceptional responses in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), which led to the approval of CAR targeting CD19 (CART19) (Axi-cel and Liso-cel) as second line of treatment for adult patients with relapsed/refractory NHL. Unfortunately, 60% of patients still relapse after CART19 due to either a loss of expression of the target antigen (CD19) in the tumor cell, observed in 27% of relapsed patients, a limited CAR-T persistence, and additional mechanisms, including the suppression of the tumor microenvironment. Clinic strategies to prevent target antigen loss include sequential treatment with CARs directed at CD20 or CD22, which have caused loss of the second antigen, suggesting targeting other antigens less prone to disappear.

Introduction: Preclinical and clinical evidence has elucidated that cannabis-based medical formulations (CBMFs) may display anxiolytic, antidepressive, and neuroprotective properties. CBMFs are often considered as novel therapeutic anxiolytic agents that can be prescribed as pharmacotherapy for symptomatic domains in anxiety disorders (ADs). Our aim was to explore effectiveness and tolerability of enriched cannabidiol (CBD) oil extract formulations in adults with anxiety symptoms in an outpatient mental health program in Colombia during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction: Approximately 4% of the UK population experiences PTSD. Individuals must exhibit symptoms across four clusters to receive a diagnosis: intrusion, avoidance, altered reactivity, and altered mood. Evidence suggests that cannabinoid agonists such as nabilone and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) may alleviate PTSD symptoms.

Family integrated care (FICare) represents a contemporary approach to health care that involves the active participation of families within the healthcare team. It empowers families to acquire knowledge about the specialised care required for their newborns admitted to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and positions them as primary caregivers. Healthcare professionals in this model act as mentors and facilitators during the hospitalisation period.

Background: Family Integrated Care (FICare) has demonstrated positive outcomes for sick neonates and has alleviated the psychological burden faced by families. FICare involves structured training for professionals and caregivers along with the provision of resources to offer physical and psychological support to parents. However, FICare implementation has been primarily limited to developed countries.

Emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) is a common mental health disorder, manifesting with a range of chronic and debilitating symptoms, including impaired social functioning, unstable mood, and risky impulsive or self-injurious behaviour. Whilst the exact aetiology has not been fully elucidated, implicated factors seem to include genetic factors, environmental causes such as trauma, and neurotransmitter deficits. The literature suggests that impaired functioning of the endocannabinoid system in key brain regions responsible for emotional processing and stress response may underlie the manifestation of EUPD symptoms.

In November 2018, the UK’s Home Office established a legal route for eligible patients to be prescribed cannabis-based products for medicinal use in humans (CBPMs) as unlicensed medicines. These include liquid cannabis extracts for oral administration (“oils”) and dried flowers for inhalation (“flos”). Smoking of CBPMs is expressly prohibited.

Although fever and respiratory symptoms are the main clinical expression of COVID-19 disease, important extrapulmonary complications that affect the majority of the organs and systems may occur. Multisystemic involvement can mainly be attributed to the generalized location of ACE2 receptors throughout the body, which act as the main point of entry for the virus. Systemic manifestations may occasionally appear before the typical symptoms, although they generally occur later or are sequelae of the disease.

To date, the therapeutic use of cannabinoids in chronic pain management remains controversial owing to the limited clinical evidence found in randomized clinical trials (RCTs), the heterogeneous nature of the clinical indication, and the broad range of cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs) used in both experimental and observational clinical studies. Here we evaluate patient-reported clinical outcomes (PROMS) in a cohort of adult patients, diagnosed with chronic pain of diverse etiology, who received adjuvant treatment with oral, cannabis-based, magistral formulations between May and September 2021 at the Latin American Institute of Neurology and Nervous System (ILANS-Zerenia) in Bogotá, Colombia. During this period, 2,112 patients completed a PROMS questionnaire aimed at capturing the degree of clinical improvement of their primary symptom and any potential side effects.

Family Integrated Care (FICare) integrates parents in the direct care of their child while the healthcare personnel act as teachers and guides. To this date, most reports on the feasibility of this model refer to stable preterm infants admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). To scale up and adapt FICare to make it suitable in level IIIC NICUs, which care for extreme prematurity and other complex medical or surgical neonatal conditions.

Background: Reproductive success in seed plants depends on a healthy fruit and seed set. Normal seed development in the angiosperms requires the production of functional female gametophytes. This is particularly evident in seedless cultivars where defects during megagametophyte's developmental processes have been observed through cytohistological analysis.
