This paper presents a new synthetic dataset obtained from Gazebo simulations of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) moving on different natural environments. To this end, a Husky mobile robot equipped with a tridimensional (3D) Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensor, a stereo camera, a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and wheel tachometers has followed several paths using the Robot Operating System (ROS). Both points from LiDAR scans and pixels from camera images, have been automatically labeled into their corresponding object class.

Nevertheless, the effects of an integrated core and plyometric training program on rhythmic gymnastics (RG) performance are unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of an integrated functional CPT program on young rhythmics gymnasts' postural performance.

The diagnosis is usually obtained using imaging techniques such as densitometry, but with both being multifactorial diseases, several molecular mechanisms remain to be understood. Metabolomics offers the potential to detect global changes which can lead to the identification of biomarkers and a better insight in the progress of the diseases.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAdiponectin, encoded by ADIPOQ, is an insulin-sensitizing, anti-inflammatory, and renoprotective adipokine that activates receptors with intrinsic ceramidase activity. We identified a family harboring a 10-nucleotide deletion mutation in ADIPOQ that cosegregates with diabetes and end-stage renal disease. This mutation introduces a frameshift in exon 3, resulting in a premature termination codon that disrupts translation of adiponectin's globular domain.

The proper treatment for tension pneumothorax is rapid needle decompression. This procedure is frequently performed in the field for trauma patients who have clinical symptoms of pneumothorax. The procedure itself has a high rate of failure due to improper placement, operator inexperience, or chest wall thickness.

Plasma concentrations (PCs) > 1 μg / mL llave been associated with better therapeutic results which have not always been achieved during treatment in immunocompromised children. In the necessity to initiate early and effective therapy for the infection, it is relevant to establish the voriconazole administration regimen that is associated with optimal PCs in this population.

Although DIA is usually benign, uncommon cases bearing malignant histological and aggressive clinical features have been described in the literature. We report a newborn patient who was diagnosed with a DIA and died postresection.

Aim: To evaluate the ability of the DrugSorb™-AntiThrombotic Removal (ATR) haemoadsorption device utilizing porous polymer bead sorbent technology to remove three commonly used antithrombotic drugs from whole blood.
Methods And Results: We evaluated the removal of apixaban, rivaroxaban, and ticagrelor by the DrugSorb-ATR haemoadsorption device in a benchtop clinical scale model using bovine whole blood. Blood spiked at clinically relevant concentrations of an antithrombotic agent was continuously circulated through a 300-mL DrugSorb-ATR haemoadsorption device at a flow rate of 300 mL/min.
The elderly HIV-positive population is growing due to the widespread use of combination antiretroviral therapy (cART), but the effects of longstanding HIV infection on brain aging are unknown. A significant proportion of HIV-positive individuals develop HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) even on cART, but the pathogenesis of HAND is unknown. Although neuroinflammation is postulated to play an important role in aging and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer disease (AD), it is unclear whether HIV accelerates aging or increases the risk for AD.

However, we still lack clear understanding of how climatic stressors will alter fire regimes along productivity gradients. We trained a Random Forests model of fire probabilities across a 5°lat × 2° long trans-Andean rainfall gradient in northern Patagonia using a 23-year long fire record and biophysical, vegetation, human activity and seasonal fire weather predictors.

Between 10% and 30% of people with obesity exhibit low cardiometabolic risk. The metabolic syndrome has been suggested as an indicator of obesity-related metabolic dysregulation.

A total of 682 transcripts were identified as potentially coding for venom components. Most of the transcripts found were neurotoxins (156) that commonly act on sodium and calcium channels.

Here, we have used resveratrol, a safe and well-known plant-derived stilbene with poor antimicrobial properties, as a scaffold to design several new families of antimicrobials by adding different chemical entities at specific positions. We have characterized the mode of action of the most active compounds prepared and have examined their synergistic antibacterial activity in combination with traditional antibiotics.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAbundance estimation methods that combine several types of data are becoming increasingly common because they yield more accurate and precise parameter estimates and predictions than are possible from a single data source. These beneficial effects result from increasing sample size (through data pooling) and complementarity between different data types. Here, we test whether integrating mark-recapture data with passive acoustic detections into a joint likelihood improves estimates of population size in a multi-guild community.

A large cohort of Spanish workers ( = 527,662; 32% female, 44 ± 9yrs) participated in this cross-sectional study. We assessed participants' self-reported indicators of sleep quantity (short [<6 h/d], normal [6-9 h/d] or long [>9 h/d]) and quality (unrestful or restful, and difficulties or not falling asleep) as well as the presence of major CVD risk factors (diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia); and categorised participants based on PA ("inactive", "insufficiently active" or "regularly active") and weight status (normal weight, overweight or obesity).

In recent years, multidisciplinary programs have been implemented that include different actions during the pre, intra and postoperative period, aimed at reducing perioperative stress and therefore improving the results of patients undergoing surgical interventions. Initially, these programs were developed for colorectal surgery and from there they have been extended to other surgeries. Thoracic surgery, considered highly complex, like other surgeries with a high postoperative morbidity and mortality rate, may be one of the specialties that most benefit from the implementation of these programs.

Thus, gaining a better understanding of the cellular factors that regulate glioblastoma multiforme cellular movement is imperative. In our study, we demonstrate that the 5'-3' exoribonuclease XRN2 is important to the invasive nature of glioblastoma.

Introduction: Although Latino immigrants, especially noncitizens, endure structural factors that may increase their risk of death at younger ages, little is known about their risk of death in young adulthood. This study evaluates mortality differences across citizenship status among young Latino adults (aged 18-44 years) in the U.S.

CNCs were blended with different starches, adding CNCs at concentrations of 0, 2, 6 and 10% . Starch-CNC blends were processed by rapid visco-analysis (RVA) and cooled to 70 °C.

For this purpose, machine learning techniques have been used in recent years over the available biological data from patients. However, in most cases this problem has been treated using a single-modality approach, not exploring the potential of the multi-scale and multi-omic nature of cancer data for the classification.
