This paper presents a new synthetic dataset obtained from Gazebo simulations of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) moving on different natural environments. To this end, a Husky mobile robot equipped with a tridimensional (3D) Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensor, a stereo camera, a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and wheel tachometers has followed several paths using the Robot Operating System (ROS). Both points from LiDAR scans and pixels from camera images, have been automatically labeled into their corresponding object class.

Aim: To evaluate the ability of the DrugSorb™-AntiThrombotic Removal (ATR) haemoadsorption device utilizing porous polymer bead sorbent technology to remove three commonly used antithrombotic drugs from whole blood.

Methods And Results: We evaluated the removal of apixaban, rivaroxaban, and ticagrelor by the DrugSorb-ATR haemoadsorption device in a benchtop clinical scale model using bovine whole blood. Blood spiked at clinically relevant concentrations of an antithrombotic agent was continuously circulated through a 300-mL DrugSorb-ATR haemoadsorption device at a flow rate of 300 mL/min.

We trained a Random Forests model of fire probabilities across a 5°lat × 2° long trans-Andean rainfall gradient in northern Patagonia using a 23-year long fire record and biophysical, vegetation, human activity and seasonal fire weather predictors.

The transcriptome of the venom glands of the spider was analyzed using RNA-seq with an Illumina protocol, which yielded 86,424 assembled transcripts. A total of 682 transcripts were identified as potentially coding for venom components. Most of the transcripts found were neurotoxins (156) that commonly act on sodium and calcium channels.

In the era of antimicrobial resistance, the identification of new compounds with strong antimicrobial activity and the development of alternative therapies to fight drug-resistant bacteria are urgently needed. Here, we have used resveratrol, a safe and well-known plant-derived stilbene with poor antimicrobial properties, as a scaffold to design several new families of antimicrobials by adding different chemical entities at specific positions. We have characterized the mode of action of the most active compounds prepared and have examined their synergistic antibacterial activity in combination with traditional antibiotics.

We analysed the association between self-reported sleep characteristics and the prevalence of major cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors attending to the potential effect of physical activity (PA) and weight status. A large cohort of Spanish workers ( = 527,662; 32% female, 44 ± 9yrs) participated in this cross-sectional study. We assessed participants' self-reported indicators of sleep quantity (short [<6 h/d], normal [6-9 h/d] or long [>9 h/d]) and quality (unrestful or restful, and difficulties or not falling asleep) as well as the presence of major CVD risk factors (diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia); and categorised participants based on PA ("inactive", "insufficiently active" or "regularly active") and weight status (normal weight, overweight or obesity).
