We evaluated the impact of burnt carcasses on the probability of finding Chrysomya albiceps (Wiedemann, 1819) and Lucilia ochricornis (Wiedemann, 1830) (Diptera: Calliphoridae), and the time it took for them to arrive at the experimental carcasss. These species are biological indicators of the postmortem interval (PMI) in forensic scenarios. BRAF pediatric low-grade gliomas frequently transform into high-grade gliomas (HGG) and poorly respond to chemotherapy, resulting in high mortality. Although combined BRAF and MEK inhibition (BRAFi+MEKi) outperforms chemotherapy, ∼70% of BRAF HGG patients are therapy resistant and undergo unbridled tumor progression. BRAF glioma have an immune-rich microenvironment suggesting that they could be responsive to immunotherapy but effects of BRAFi+MEKi on anti-tumor immunity are unclear.

A novel oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalyst was prepared by a synthesis strategy consisting of the solvothermal growth of NiS nanostructures on Ni foam, followed by hydrothermal incorporation of Fe species (Fe-NiS/Ni foam). This electrocatalyst displayed a low OER overpotential of 230 mV at 100 mA·cm, a low Tafel slope of 43 mV·dec, and constant performance at an industrially relevant current density (500 mA·cm) over 100 h in a 1.0 M KOH electrolyte, despite a minor loss of Fe in the process.
