Recommendation systems are vital tools for helping users discover content that suits their interests. Collaborative filtering methods are one of the techniques employed for analyzing interactions between users and items, which are typically stored in a sparse matrix. This inherent sparsity poses a challenge because it necessitates accurately and effectively filling in these gaps to provide users with meaningful and personalized recommendations.

It has been demonstrated that the prognosis of current drug treatments is affected by a variety of factors, including late stage, tumor recurrence, inaccessibility to appropriate treatments, and, most importantly, chemotherapy resistance. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) contribute to tumor development, with some acting as tumor suppressors and others as oncogenes.

Background: Augmentation mastopexy remains a challenging procedure. The goal is to achieve correction of breast ptosis whilst adding implant volume, and avoid complications of premature waterfall deformity, bottoming out and further revision surgery, particularly when using smooth implants. We aim to describe and evaluate a technique to reduce implant malposition in augmentation mastopexy.

Therefore, herein, biochar nanoparticles (BNPs) were synthesized through chicken manure pyrolysis as a novel method for waste recycling. Then, in order to improve their recyclability, the obtained BNPs were magnetized using magnetic nickel nanoparticles.

In this study, aluminium-based ionic liquid grafted onto a biochar surface (BC/[TESPMI]AlCl) was synthesized and used as a catalyst for the synthesis of a series of biological derivatives including 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1)-ones in ethanol at reflux conditions and tetrazoles in PEG-400 at 110 °C. All products were obtained with good selectivity and yield of 90 to 97%.

Focusing on the retweet network associated with the 2021 Iranian presidential election, our study reveals intriguing findings. RMT analysis unveils that power dynamics within both poles of the network do not conform to a "one-to-many" pattern, highlighting a select group of users wielding significant influence within their clusters and across the entire network.

A machine-learning classifier was used to analyze the methylation patterns of >105 genomic targets covering >1 million methylation sites. Analytical sensitivity (limit of detection [95% probability]) was characterized with respect to tumor content by expected variant allele frequency and was determined to be 0.

Herein boehmite nanoparticles were primarily synthesized and, then, their surface were modified via 3-choloropropyltrimtoxysilane (CPTMS). Afterwards, a new samarium complex was stabilized on the surface of the modified boehmite nanoparticles (Sm-bis(PYT)@boehmite).

Methods: A systematic literature search was performed by finding relevant cross-sectional and case-control studies from main online databases. Heterogeneity, odds ratio (OR), and corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) were applied to all studies through meta-analysis and forest plots.
In the first part of this work, boehmite nanoparticles (BNPs) were synthesized from aqueous solutions of NaOH and Al(NO)·9HO. Then, the BNPs surface was modified using 3-choloropropyltrimtoxysilane (CPTMS) and then 1,3-bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)thiourea ((PYT)) was anchored on the surface of the modified BNPs (CPTMS@BNPs). In the final step, a complex of cobalt was stabilized on its surface (Co-(PYT)@BNPs).

The process was similar for both methods, except that in RS, AgO and NbO precursors were mixed, then formed into pellets, skipping the calcination step, and sintered at 1100 °C for 6 hours. Both prepared ceramics had the same perovskite crystal structure with an orthorhombic crystal system and and 2 space groups with similar lattice dynamic vibration modes at room temperature.

For Iranians and the Iranian diaspora, the Farsi Twittersphere provides an important alternative to state media and an outlet for political discourse. But this understudied online space has become an opinion manipulation battleground, with diverse actors using inauthentic accounts to advance their goals and shape online narratives. Examining trending discussions crossing social cleavages in Iran, we explore how the dynamics of opinion manipulation differ across diverse issue areas.

Current datasets typically include only a fraction of methylation sites and are often based either on cell lines that underwent massive changes in culture or on tissues containing unspecified mixtures of cells. Here we describe a human methylome atlas, based on deep whole-genome bisulfite sequencing, allowing fragment-level analysis across thousands of unique markers for 39 cell types sorted from 205 healthy tissue samples.

Lactobacilli are the most common probiotic bacteria found in the human gut microbiota, and the presence of acquired antibiotic resistance determinants carried on mobile genetic elements must be screened due to safety concerns. Unnecessary and inappropriate antibiotic therapy, as well as ingested antibiotic resistance bacteria (originating from food or food products), influence the abundance of antibiotic resistance genes in human guts, with serious clinical consequences. The current study looked into the antibiotic resistance of lactobacilli isolated from the guts of sepsis patients on long-term antibiotic therapy.

Unlike previous presidential elections, there was a decrease in physical events and advertisements for the candidates; in turn, the online presence of presidential candidates is significantly increased. Farsi Twitter played a specific role in this matter, as it became the platform for creating political content.
