Background: The Indigenous Youth Mentorship Program (IYMP) is a 20-week communal, relationship-based afterschool healthy living program for Indigenous youth in Canada. IYMP embraces the Anishnaabe/Nehiyawak concepts of Mino-Bimaadiziwin/miyo-pimâtisiwin ("living in a good way") via its core components of physical activities/games, healthy snacks, and relationship-building. A strength of IYMP is that it values autonomy, adaptability, and the school community context.

Non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis is a chronic disorder in which immune system dysregulation and impaired airway clearance cause mucus accumulation and consequent increased susceptibility to lung infections. The presence of pathogens in the lower respiratory tract causes a vicious circle resulting in impaired mucociliary function, bronchial inflammation, and progressive lung injury. In current guidelines, antibiotic therapy has a key role in bronchiectasis management to treat acute exacerbations and chronic infection and to eradicate bacterial colonization.

Background: Evidence for TP53 mutations as biomarker in colorectal cancer (CRC) is conflicting.

Methods: We assessed TP53 mutations in 51 patients with advanced CRC enrolled into a phase II, randomised trial of first-line tegafur-uracil (UFT)/leucovorin (LV) plus irinotecan (n = 23) versus UFT/LV plus oxaliplatin (n = 28).

Results: Non-functional TP53 mutations were found in 35% of patients.

The Sertoli cell tumor (SCT) of the testis is a sex cord stromal tumor, usually sporadic, rarely associated with genetic syndromes. Much remains unclear about the molecular genetic changes involved in SCT and its histogenesis.
