Methods: The objective of this project was to determine the capability of a federated analysis approach using DataSHIELD to maintain the level of results of a classical centralized analysis in a real-world setting. This research was carried out on an anonymous synthetic longitudinal real-world oncology cohort randomly splitted in three local databases, mimicking three healthcare organizations, stored in a federated data platform integrating DataSHIELD. Methods: This study measured the incidence of hospital-acquired or resistant Gram-negative bacilli bloodstream infections (GNB-BSIs) in a large public healthcare consortium in the Parisian region of France.
Results: Within each hospital, there was a strong positive correlation between the incidence of GNB-BSIs due to resistant GNB and the incidence of hospital-acquired GNB-BSIs.
To efficiently navigate within the geomagnetic field, magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) align their magnetosome organelles into chains, which are organized by the actin-like MamK protein. Monthly BSIs incidence rates that appeared stable in 2018 and 2019, decreased for the 2 pathogens during the 2 COVID-19 lockdown periods of 2020. Containment policies, including social distancing, masking and hand hygiene strengthening in both community and hospital settings are likely to reduce BSIs due to these pathogens.
