The aim of this article is to determine the safety and efficacy of core decompression (CD) combined with injection of autologous bone marrow concentrate (BMC), demineralized bone matrix (DBM), and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for treating femoral head osteonecrosis. Seventy-seven patients (53 males and 24 females) for a total of 87 hips were treated for hip osteonecrosis with CD combined with injection of autologous BMC, DBM, and PRF at Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute from September 2008 to December 2019. Patients were assessed at baseline, at 45 days, and at 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months postoperatively.

Keratitis-ichthyosis-deafness syndrome (KID) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the triad of hyperkeratosis, ichthyosis, and congenital prelingual sensorineural deafness, with less than 100 cases described in the literature. In addition to many other extra-cutaneous manifestations, these patients are burdened by two principal increased risk factors involving the skin: the risk of developing infections and the risk of developing malignant skin tumors, especially Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Trichilemmal tumors. High-Statistics Measurement of the Cosmic-Ray Electron Spectrum with H.E.S.S.

Owing to their rapid cooling rate and hence loss-limited propagation distance, cosmic-ray electrons and positrons (CRe) at very high energies probe local cosmic-ray accelerators and provide constraints on exotic production mechanisms such as annihilation of dark matter particles. We present a high-statistics measurement of the spectrum of CRe candidate events from 0.3 to 40 TeV with the High Energy Stereoscopic System, covering 2 orders of magnitude in energy and reaching a proton rejection power of better than 10^{4}.

Ring chromosome 18 (r(18)) is a rare chromosomal abnormality characterized by the circular rearrangement of chromosome 18, which presents significant challenges in genotype-phenotype correlations due to variability in deletions across the 18p and 18q arms. We report the case of a pediatric patient with a de novo ring chromosome 18, diagnosed by karyotype analysis and confirmed by high-resolution SNP arrays. Microglia are highly dynamic cells and their migration and colonization of the brain parenchyma is a crucial step for proper brain development and function. Externally developing zebrafish embryos possess optical transparency, which along with well-characterized transgenic reporter lines that fluorescently label microglia, make zebrafish an ideal vertebrate model for such studies. In this paper, we take advantage of the unique features of the zebrafish model to visualize the dynamics of microglia cells in vivo and under physiological conditions.

Polysomnography (PSG) is a sleep study typically used to compute the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), the number of times a person has apnea or certain types of hypopnea per hour of sleep, and diagnose the severity of the sleep disorder.
