Background And Aims: Legal regulations for dispensing in Swiss heroin-assisted treatment were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing prolonged take-home of up to 7 days instead of two to reduce patient contact and the risk of infection. Our study aimed to measure the consequences of this new practice.

Design, Setting And Participants: This was a retrospective cohort study set in Switzerland's largest outpatient centre for opioid agonist therapy.

Effects of aquatic physiotherapy on the improvement of balance and corporal symmetry in stroke survivors.

Introduction: One of the main problems associate with hemiparesis after stroke is the decrease in balance during static and dynamic postures which can highly affect daily life activities.

Objective: To assess the effects of aquatic physiotherapy on the balance and quality of life (SS-QoL) of people with pos stroke.

Methods: Chronic stroke participants received at total 18 individual sessions of aquatic physiotherapy using the principle of Halliwick (2x of 40 minutes per week).

Our objective was to characterize the polyfunctionality of immune response triggered by PHI, and to characterize immune activation and regulatory T cells, correlating such features to disease progression.

Optimal process synthesis for the production of multiple recombinant proteins.

This paper presents a novel solution strategy for the synthesis of multiproduct and multihost protein production processes. There are several possible hosts that may express each of the products, and different downstream processing separation and purification tasks are needed, which in part depend on the host selection. Moreover, alternative unit operations may be available for some of these separation tasks.

Process performance models in the optimization of multiproduct protein production plants.

In this work we propose a model that simultaneously optimizes the process variables and the structure of a multiproduct batch plant for the production of recombinant proteins. The complete model includes process performance models for the unit stages and a posynomial representation for the multiproduct batch plant. Although the constant time and size factor models are the most commonly used to model multiproduct batch processes, process performance models describe these time and size factors as functions of the process variables selected for optimization.

Optimal design of protein production plants with time and size factor process models.

In this work we propose an optimization model for the design of a biotechnological multiproduct batch plant. A first level of detail posynomial model is constructed for each unit, as well as decisions regarding the structural optimization of the plant. A particular feature of this model is that it contains composite units in which semicontinuous items operate on the material contained by batch items.
