Digital dermatitis (DD) is an infectious disease of the digital skin of dairy cows that is associated with compromised animal welfare and significant economic losses. The hind feet of 16,098 dairy cows from 55 herds were examined in the milking parlor, and DD lesions identified were classified using the M-score system and swabbed for PCR testing. Swabs were also collected from hind feet with normal digital skin for comparison.

This study investigates the effects of microgravity on the differentiation and mineralization of IDG-SW3 osteocyte-like cells to understand the response of bone cells to microgravity and develop strategies to mitigate bone loss in astronauts. IDG-SW3 cells were cultured in collagen-coated dishes and subjected to a 3D clinostat to simulate microgravity 14 days after initiating differentiation. The static group remained under normal gravity.

This study addresses the clinical problem of the patient with breast cancer that has been operated on for an ovarian mass. It specifies the spectrum of histopathologic diagnoses and the differentiating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of ovarian masses with correlations between clinical features, histopathologic, and MRI findings. Sensitivity and specificity of MRI vs histopathology in diagnosing malignancy are estimated.
