Introduction: Extrafine formulation of beclomethasone/formoterol fixed combination (BDP/F pMDI HFA) is approved for both fixed maintenance and maintenance and reliever therapy (MART) of asthma, and recent data has proven that BDP/F pMDI HFA maintenance and reliever therapy is an effective alternative to other regimens.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of asthma control in a real-life setting in adult patients using extrafine BDP/F pMDI HFA fixed combination in a pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) as fixed maintenance dosing as well as maintenance and maintenance and reliever therapy. Additionally, we examined patients' satisfaction with the inhaler device and compliance with therapy as essential factors determining asthma control.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) and psoriasis are inflammatory skin diseases whose prevalence has increased worldwide in recent decades. These disorders contribute to patients' decreased quality of life (QoL) and constitute a socioeconomic burden. New therapeutic options for AD and psoriasis based on natural compounds are being investigated.

Methods: We searched PubMed/Medline, Embase, Web of Science, ClinicalTrials.
The study aimed to evaluate severe COVID-19 treatment approaches. We conducted a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RTCs) with standard of care (SoC) as a control group and/or placebo. Database searching was performed separately for severe COVID-19 treatment such as anakinra, remdesivir, baricitinib, ivermectin, ritonavir, tocilizumab, sarilumab, sotrovimab, casirivimab/imdevimab.

The authors focused on the division into selected AR's triggers: house dust mites (HDMs), grass pollen, and birch pollen.
Methods: For each drug and allergen class, a meta-analysis of the efficacy and adverse events (AEs) was performed.
: Since the onset of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the medical community has faced major challenges that affect disease management in all areas. Dermatologists and immunologists have to choose appropriate treatment strategy taking into consideration the risk of infection and possible exacerbation of the course of the disease in patients with confirmed infection. Management of atopic dermatitis (AD) in moderate to severe cases is based on systemic therapy such as cyclosporine, azathioprine, methotrexate and dupilumab.

Methods: In a 'real-life' study, 300 patients with moderate AD were age-stratified and divided into two groups: patients applying GPI emollient and the comparator. We evaluated the effectiveness of AD treatment using: Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI), Three Item Severity (TIS), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Four-Item Itch Questionnaire.
Asthma and obesity are currently one of the most common diseases. Observing an increase in morbidity of obesity and asthma, it can be concluded that there is a link between these diseases. But the mechanism of this relation is not well known.

In response, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Health Care Innovation Center supports the development and testing of innovative health-care payment and service delivery models. The purpose of this article is to describe the CMS-funded coordinated health care for complex kids (CHECK) program, an innovative system of health-care delivery that provides improved, comprehensive, and well-coordinated services to CMC.

We developed CATCH-IT (Competent Adulthood Transition with Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal Training), which is an adolescent Internet-based behavior change model. We conducted a randomized comparison of two approaches in engaging adolescents with the Internet intervention: primary care physician (PCP) motivational interview + CATCH-IT Internet program (MI) vs PCP brief advice + CATCH-IT Internet program (BA).

Background: Adolescent depression is both common and burdensome, and while evidence-based strategies have been developed to prevent adolescent depression, participation in such interventions remains extremely low, with less than 3% of at-risk individuals participating. To promote participation in evidence-based preventive strategies, a rigorous marketing strategy is needed to translate research into practice.
Objective: To develop and pilot a rigorous marketing strategy for engaging at-risk individuals with an Internet-based depression prevention intervention in primary care targeting key attitudes and beliefs.
Adolescents in primary care with sub-threshold depression (not reaching criteria for disorder) symptoms may be candidates for early intervention to prevent onset of major depressive disorder. However, we know little about their attitudes toward such interventions or what may predict motivation or adherence for preventive interventions. We also describe preferences for different types of interventions and conduct exploratory analyses to identify predictors of motivation to prevent depression and subsequent adherence to an Internet-based intervention.

Method: We screened consecutive adolescents (ages 14-21) in 13 primary care sites for presence of depression symptoms for "at least a few days" or "nearly every day" in the last two weeks for possible enrollment in a primary care/Internet-based depression prevention intervention (CATCH-IT).
BACKGROUND: Internet-based interventions for education and behavior change have proliferated, but most adolescents may not be sufficiently motivated to engage in Internet-based behavior change interventions. We sought to determine how two different forms of primary care physician engagement, brief advice (BA) versus motivational interview (MI), could enhance participation outcomes in an Internet-based depression prevention intervention. METHODS: Eighty-three adolescents at risk for developing major depression were recruited by screening in primary care and randomized to two groups: BA (1-2 minutes) + Internet program versus MI (10-15 minutes) + Internet program.
