Quantum walks on photonic platforms represent a physics-rich framework for quantum measurements, simulations and universal computing. Dynamic reconfigurability of photonic circuitry is key to controlling the walk and retrieving its full operation potential. Universal quantum processing schemes based on time-bin encoding in gated fibre loops have been proposed but not demonstrated yet, mainly due to gate inefficiencies.

A poly(vinyl alcohol)/montmorillonite/titania (PVA/MMT/TiO) nanocomposite film was fabricated via a simple solution casting strategy for the removal of cationic as well as anionic dyes. The developed nanocomposite film was subjected to X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform Infrared (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), mechanical property evaluation, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The embedding of MMT and TiO nanoparticles onto a PVA matrix has been confirmed from XRD, FTIR, and SEM analysis.

Continuous use of antibiotics in poultry feed as growth promoters poses a grave threat to humanity through the emergence of antibiotic resistance, necessitating the exploration of novel and sustainable alternatives. The present study was carried out to evaluate the performance of postbiotics derived from Lactobacillus acidophilus in broiler birds. The postbiotics were harvested by culturing probiotic bacteria from the stock cultures at the required temperature and duration under laboratory conditions and supplemented to broilers via feed.

Background: Mechanisms behind multiple organ involvement in lupus, is still an enigma for researchers. Mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress are known to be important aspects in lupus etiology however, their role in lupus organ manifestation is yet to be understood. The present study is based on the understanding of interplay between AMPK/PGC-1α/SIRT-1 axis, mitochondrial complexes, and anti-oxidants levels, which might be involved in lupus organ pathology.

Purpose: Variations in the anatomy of pulmonary veins can influence selection of approaches of atrial fibrillation catheter ablation. Therefore, preprocedural evaluation and knowledge of pulmonary veins anatomy is crucial for proper mapping and the successful ablation of atrial fibrillation. The aim of this observational study was to assess CT angiography scans and perform detailed analysis of pulmonary veins morphology in patients scheduled for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.

Garlic, belonging to the genus Allium, is renowned for its rich antioxidant potential. Snow Mountain garlic (SMG) (Allium ampeloprasum) has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes because of its higher antioxidant potential. Considering its potential in medical therapies, we compared the antioxidant activity of SMG with a novel variety of Allium sativum, Hisar garlic 17 (HG17).

Purpose: To determine the prevalence of refractive errors in a group of 8-year-old school children in northwestern Poland.

Material And Methods: In 2017-2019, refractive errors were examined in a group of 1518 Caucasian children aged 8 years old with cycloplegia. Refraction was obtained with a hand-held autorefractor (Retinomax 3).

This study sought to determine the effects of dietary paraprobiotic (PPB) on broiler chicken performance, immunity, gut health, and carcass traits. A total of 240 day-old CARIBRO Vishal commercial broiler chicks of identical body weight randomly divided into six treatment groups, each with five replicates and eight chicks in each replicate. Six dietary treatments were preapared: T = (control diet), T = T + 0.

Hydrodynamic phenomena can be observed with light thanks to the analogy between quantum gases and nonlinear optics. In this Letter, we report an experimental study of the superfluid-like properties of light in a (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear optical mesh lattice, where the arrival time of optical pulses plays the role of a synthetic spatial dimension. A spatially narrow defect at rest is used to excite sound waves in the fluid of light and measure the sound speed.

An study on the effect of the administration of a combination of nucleosides (25, 50, and 100 mg/egg) on hatchability, growth performance, energy metabolizability, and intestinal morphology in broilers was carried out. Four hundred eighty (480) fertile eggs were divided into four groups (in four replicates each having 30 eggs). On the 18th days of incubation of the eggs, candling was carried out and the fertile eggs were selected and given one of the four administrations.

We experimentally demonstrate the transverse confinement of light in the presence of a longitudinally periodic photonic potential with vanishing average. In agreement with Kapitza's original findings in classical mechanics, we confirm that light undergoes a transverse localization due to the action of an effective potential proportional to the square of the first derivative of the potential. Experiments are performed based on (1+1) D synthetic dimensions realized in a fiber loop system, allowing for complete control of the transverse and longitudinal distributions of the potential.

We report experimental studies on an azo-substituted compound consisting of bent-core hockey-stick-shaped molecules. The experimental results establish two pseudopolar tilted smectic phases, which are characterized by an in-plane axial-vector order parameter in addition to tilt order in the smectic layers. Electro-optical measurements in the mesophases indicate that the birefringence of the sample strongly depends on the applied electric field.

Vegetable oils, which are a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamins and antioxidants, have a significant effect on the functioning and development of the body and contribute to health maintenance. They can be obtained from seeds, fruit stones, fruit, nuts or sprouts. This study discusses various species of plants that are sources of nut oils consumed in the daily diet and also used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

Psoriasis (Ps), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and SAPHO syndrome are diseases of unknown etiology that share common clinical features; however, family studies support the hypothesis of a genetic background for each of these diseases. To study the two common single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the murine-double-minute-2-(Mdm2) and p53 genes in patients with Ps, PsA, and SAPHO syndrome. Genomic DNA was obtained from 187 patients with Ps, 50 with PsA, and 36 with SAPHO as well as 478 healthy controls.

Background: Extrinsic allergic alveolitis (EAA) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) share the presence of varying degree interstitial involvement and fibrosis. Vascular changes were often reported to accompany the development of fibrosis.

Objectives: The aim of our study was to examine the differences in angiostatic and angiogenic chemokine milieu in both diseases.
