Differentiating between viral and bacterial infections is critical for effective treatment and to minimize unnecessary antibiotic use. Introduction: The main objective was to determine the effectiveness of influenza vaccination in preventing hospitalization due to exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
