Cellular senescence is a known driver of carcinogenesis and age-related diseases, yet senescence is required for various physiological processes. However, the mechanisms and factors that control the negative effects of senescence while retaining its benefits are still elusive. Here, we show that the rasGAP SH3-binding protein 1 (G3BP1) is required for the activation of the senescent-associated secretory phenotype (SASP).

Methods: PN prospectively-maintained database was retrospectively queried for patients who underwent minimally-invasive PN (2012-2017) for renal mass ≤cT2 and had complete data on renal scan and contrast-enhanced CT-scan (both performed in our Institution) both at preoperative assessment and at the third postoperative month follow-up. Tc99MAG-3 renal scan was performed to get renal functional data; renal volume was calculated by dedicated software from CT-scan with a semiautomated method.
Purpose: The study was done to analyse the results of a series of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedures performed on hepatic metastases (METS) from breast cancer in order to evaluate the clinical impact of this therapy.
Materials And Methods: We analysed 45 patients (mean age 55 years) with 87 METS (mean size 23 mm), in terms of adverse events (AE), complete ablation (CA) at initial follow-up assessment and during the subsequent follow-up (mean 30 months), time to progression, and survival. The correlation between local effectiveness and METS size was investigated.
Knowledge of child rearing is based on many factors. In the present study, 85 undergraduates (56 women, 46 Catholic) enrolled in psychology classes at a private university completed the Student Knowledge of Child Development Scale. Analysis showed a moderate relationship between scale scores with whether participants had taken a child development class and whether participants stated highest priority was a career or marriage and children.

Aim: To compare psychological and behavioural characteristics and traits of gender identity among women with eating disorders and its subtypes and non eating disordered female subjects.
Material And Methods: An structured clinical interview based on the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for eating disorders, the EAT-40 (Eating Attitudes Test), the Eating Disorders Inventory (EDI) and the Bem Sex Role Inventory (IBRS) were administered to 58 compulsive-purgative anorectics (AN/BN group), 15 restrictive anorectics (AN group), 33 patients suffering from eating disorder not otherwise identified, 33 purgative bulimics and to 82 female students without eating disorders.
Background: There are marked gender differences in the attitudes towards eating behaviors.
Aim: To compare gender identity traits among females with eating disorders and subjects of both sexes without eating disorders.
Material And Methods: An structured clinical interview based on the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for eating disorders, the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-40), the Eating Disorders Inventory (EDI) and the Bem Sex Role Inventory (BSRI) were administered to 119 female patients that fulfilled the DSM-IV criteria for anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia nervosa and/or eating disorders not otherwise specified (FCT group), 89 males (MST group) and 63 females (FST group) without eating disorders.
