Immediate loading of maxillary fixed prostheses retained by zygomatic and conventional implants: 24-month preliminary data for a series of clinical case reports.

Purpose: To evaluate the success rate of immediately loaded conventional implants placed in the premaxilla in association with 2 zygomatic implants.

Materials And Methods: All patients included had worn complete maxillary dentures for at least 2 years. They were required to have no severe systemic pathologies and could not be on any drugs.

A new coping for overdentures. Part 2: Preliminary results of a clinical study.

The aim of this study was to evaluate a new type of coping used for overdentures. Twenty-nine patients received 60 new chairside copings prepared by 3 operators. The copings, used to anchor removable prostheses, were followed up for between 6 months and 4 years with inspection, probing, and radiographic evaluation.

A new coping for overdentures. Part 1: A pilot study of the marginal precision.

The aim of this study was to investigate the marginal precision of new chairside copings prepared on 20 extracted teeth. The marginal fit was examined microscopically through 360-degree external observations. Subsequently, 10 new copings were adapted in vivo on 10 teeth that were planned for extraction.

Dimensional contour stability of acrylic resin bases for complete dentures before and after water sorption.

Purpose: To evaluate the dimensional contour variations of acrylic resin denture bases before and after storage in water.

Materials And Methods: The fit of 40 bases was evaluated by measuring the thickness of a layer made with silicone placed between the bases and the casts. The measurements were repeated on a new set of silicone layers after having stored the bases in water for 42 days.
